How many hours of sleep do you get?

Seven or eight hours on good nights. I can live with five or six if I'm super busy but recently I've been making an effort to stay well rested to avoid getting burned out, especially with so much time on the computer.

Sleep is so weird.I stayed up about 30 hours to unfuck my schedule, and slept like 7, and I am good to go. so far. bet I'll get sleepy around noon, cause whatever.
 
I am such a terrible sleeper. Usually try and get 6-8 but I reckon ACTUAL sleep equals about 5. I am a night owl but don't like sleeping in late so I can't win. My brain goes into overdrive if I haven't filled my day up enough too so that prevents me sleeping :(
 
Probably six on most days, but I like to go for eight if I can.

Less then that and I feel super groggy

I fall asleep pretty quick, but I have a tendency to semi-awake an hour before I would like to. During the weekdays
 
You know, reading all these replies, I didnt realize that a lot of people dont get the "usual 8 hours" that so many people say is necesary. And nice to know that Im not the only one who has different sleep schedules each night or not getting enough sleep hahaha!
 
Awww yay! Another stuffed animal lover! I feel the same way...I got a whole bunch of weird ones on my bed I love it. So do my cats!!!! =^;^=

Yeah, haha I keep a bunch of stuffed animals on my bed (mostly monkeys but there's a duck and a penguin thrown in there for good measure.

See, actual animals make things so much better - I'd give a kidney to have a fluffy animal to help me relax, but my living arrangements don't allow it. One day...

For me the amount of sleep I get depends on the time of year. I live in a northern part of the world and in the summer when it can be light out for 20 hours of the day I might only get 5-6 hours of sleep but in the winter when it can be dark 20 hours of the day, I sleep 8-9 hours...but I wake up a lot in the night and usually feel tired during the day even with long sleeps. Damn anxiety.

Yeah, haha I keep a bunch of stuffed animals on my bed (mostly monkeys but there's a duck and a penguin thrown in there for good measure.

See, actual animals make things so much better - I'd give a kidney to have a fluffy animal to help me relax, but my living arrangements don't allow it. One day...

Monkeys are awesome! I have a penguin too!!! Hes super rad, has like this elastic rubber stretchy hair on him haha. I dont know how to explain it but its rad! Aw thats horrible to hear that you cant have a little fluffy love ball for yourself! I dont know what I would do without my two babies. Well fingers crossed for you to get one in the near future! =^;^=

Thanks! I'm hoping for one by next year! The penguin sounds awesome! Mine is just soft and fluffy but also not a squishy stuffed animal. He keeps his shape well :D

I use to get 4-6 hours no matter what, sometimes I'd even wake up after 2-3 hours. I've been taking melatonin and now get 6-8 and if I'm particularly tired and lucky I'll get 8-10, but that is rare these days.

PS: World average recommended by doctors is 6 for men and 7 for women.

Yay good to hear! Yeah I also have this fluffy purple round body with huge eyeballs and only orange feet attached haha. As well as a white with some black striped cat with neon colored balls on the end of his whiskers! I love weird stuffed animals haha

Ah I envy your taste and collection. I actually just got a fuzzy wuzzy neon green body pillow but your stuff just wounds awesome!

OMG that sounds so cuddly and amazing! I love fuzzy anything! And body pillows are always so comfy! Haha I should send you pics of them :p

You should - they sound delightfully weird! Right up my alley :giggle:. I love fuzzy things as well - I blame that for my obsession with those fuzzy socks you can get from the drug store!

About 6-8 hours. I usually wake up about the same time regardless, so it really depends on when I fall asleep. Ever since I cut back on drinking coffee at all hours, my sleep cycle seems to have largely normalized.

HAHAA dont forget the fuzzy blankets, pajama bottoms and robes!!! I have 4 of those fuzzy blankets and a robe and 5 pairs of pjs haha. Plus fuzzy socks! I love it cause my cats seem to cuddle me more!

I spend about 6-8 hours in bed but I probably only sleep for 4-6 of those hours. I don't sleep well at all. I toss and turn all night and I get up to pee at least 4-6 times. I'm beyond exhausted most days and will fall asleep randomly throughout the day, I'll even doze off mid-conversation or while I'm driving occasionally. Definitely NOT cool. I'm meeting with a sleep specialist next month, so hopefully he can figure out what is wrong with me and fix it lol

I am a very light sleeper and can barely sleep for more than 5 hours at a time, unless I'm super exhausted. I usually end up having to take a nap later in the day to make up for it. It's a vicious circle (need the nap cause I didn't sleep enough, then can't sleep a full night cause I had a nap).

I so envy y'all that get 8-10 hours a night. For the last month or so I have been having so much trouble getting sleep. I'll go down for like 2 hours then wake up and it's like I can't get my brain to shut down because I'm thinking about EVERYTHING and it sucks.

Maybe I need to get some plushy animals to sleep with, I dunno.

I drink valerian root or lavender tea at night and it helps me go to sleep and stay asleep for about 8 hours every night. Super awesome to drink if you can't go to sleep!

Yes this helps immensely! Eyeteach definitely should try this! And anybody else who has problems sleeping too

Ah! The secret to getting a cats affection has been discovered! Invest in this! Haha fuzzy things are soft and warm and cuddly, it's hard not to love them!

Yeah ... sorry about that! Stuffed animals are a vital part to my sleep - without my main stuffed animal I can not sleep; it's insane!

I usually have trouble sleeping. I probably only get 4-6 hours, unless for some reason I'm more tired than usual, then I can get up to 10 hours sleep, which is brilliant.
 
I need to get around 6-8 hours to function well. I get pretty severe migraine headaches that can impair my sight if I'm sleep deprived. The best way I can describe it is it's like when you look at a bright light or the sun and you get those blinking spots in your vision. Except mine won't go away over time unless I go to sleep. If I have trouble getting to sleep I'll usually take 1/2 of a Advil or midol pm tablet or a sleep aid called calms forté (all natural sleep aid). I'm pretty sensitive to medication so it usually does the trick :)
