How Important ARE Tags (MFC)?

As a model, I really want to know! I'm not ranked high at all so I have no clue how people find my room. Is it usually by searching by tags that you find lower-ranked but still interesting models?

I have no particular way of finding new models, here are several I have used in the past in no particular order.

• Cam previews.
• Randomly hopping around.
• Friend of a friend.
• MFC recommendation.
• Profile or twitter snooping from ACF links.
• Tag searches.

I've used tags three times. And they were all to see if i could find models that were posted here by people trying to figure out who they were from porntube sites.

Never even think about them otherwise.

I use them almost every time I'm tipping, because I like checking out BBW girls. I've found and tipped some super cute ladies that I otherwise wouldn't have seen.

Personally I think tags are most useful if it's things that aren't super common. Tagging "sexy" or "blonde" won't really benefit a girl, since the tag list is still organized by camscore. But BBW or idk, more niche things might be worth trying! I've heard that findom is a good one to add, that a lot of guys search (obviously only if you DO findom, lol).

Mostly, I prefer to visit models that are not already nude. And my preference, even after 5 years are for non nude models but those are super hard to find now a days :msad

I'd definitely say it's more for niche models. I'm sure there have been a few guys who have found me by searching bbw or big boobs or something. I use the search when I'm tipping other models also.

The few times I have used that tags I ended up finding loads of models that seemed like they just put a load of tags that barely described them just in the hope of attracting more clicks which made them seem kind of pointless so now I dont bother with them.

I find models by first filtering the countries and then scrolling down the page until I see someone with a good looking profile pic or cool name, then I hover over the little corner preview and if it looks good then I'll go in. I dont really like the top rooms they are too busy for me so I normally go into rooms with between 1k-3k camscores where they are still busy enough but not too busy you end up lost in a sea of hundreds of people.

I strictly use tags. When I joined, when my fave model wasn't around I would use tag searches to find girls similar to what I was attracted too. Now when my they aren't on I will search using the "ACF" tag. I use it as a sort of "quality control" and thus far it's worked out well for me.

Speaking of tags:

Some guys use it to find models they might enjoy (like @housewifeswag saying that people find her with the BBW tag), so it's a great tool to lure people into your room.
HOWEVER, it is also a tool to potentially turn people away. For example: I'm non-nude, but I don't have that in my tags. Why, you ask? Simply because people come to my room not knowing what to expect. Then (sometimes) they get caught up in whatever we're talking about, games we're playing, or music that's on. And by the time that they finally figure out that I'm non-nude, they're already hooked. SO MANY of them say, "Wow! I hate non-nude rooms. If I had known that you were non-nude, I would have left. But I LOVE THIS ROOM!" and stuff like that once they find out. It's like the Eagles would say, "You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave."

There are a couple of the non nudes I love too, but then there are a couple that are over the top, straight up bitchy. Seems like they get off on being rude and insulting people. But the friendly, flirty ones...yes yes yes.

And I use the tags all the time. Every now and then I get in the mood for a more hirsute model, and without that "feminist" tag I would be lost.

Feel free to start one ^_^ I'm also nonnude and have that in my tags. I used to not have it in my tags for the same reason as @I_Am_Iris is talking about but I found that, for me, I had to keep explaining it more often than I do with it already there.

As far as the OP question, some people use tags, some people don't. I have them there for the people that do. I'd say most people just use the home page but it'd be silly to not have any tags up for the people that do use them.

I know what you mean. Sometimes I think every model should have at least one cat, unless they are allergic then a puppy would be okay, but pets are a lot of responsibility and they may not feel ready to have one yet.

Yes. So being specific is useful.

Here is a direct link to MFC tags with to acf, you can use that to find the popularity of other tags among online models.

custom videos - suprisingly only one online model online has this tag, new members often come to rooms (and this forum) asking about this, so I seems there is interest
housewife - again only one model currently has this, over on SM this is a whole category.
feet fetish or foot fetish, some MFC models have this but is seems quite popular to members.

Also Google will use these tags, so perhaps if you are a model on another site with a different name, tag yourself with that name.

oh, here's one worth mentioning. common misspellings of your model name is a good tag, if your name is misspelled.
or perhaps even an old model name. That way when people do a search, you'll show up in the results

I've thought there is no point in putting your current model name as a tag. But now I"m wondering.... When I search for a model who is offline, she only shows if I type the name exact match. if tags match partial terms, will she come up when I type part of the name? i dont know

I had trouble with the tags... it feels kinda weird ha. I had some friends come up with stuff I could put =p It seems like from the front page of MFC it's easier for members to just scroll to the bottom and use the tick boxes than it is to type out tags.
