I just do not understand why she choose Thailand to live in when she even admitted that it was illegal to do porn from there.
All speculation which i have no facts, but only observation, that i can offer a guess. I think she first considered Thailand as a resort or retreat destination, and in that capacity found it a fairly safe place to cam from. Thailand is beautiful, and the Thai woman the most beautiful in Asia IMhO. Also, for all the laws prohibiting just about everything sex trade related, prostitution is openly tolerated, and a major part of the economy of the tourist trade in parts of Thailand. (Pattaya being one of which i am familiar.)
I think over the course of some years Mila made contacts, fell in love, and became very comfortable with Thailand, and the idea of making it a permanent or semi-permanent residents. I think there may have been other advantages, such as being a location where the taxation of her income was easily avoided, and possibly the access to a population of young Thai woman who she could employ in her own, all be it, clandestine studio. (I mean no disrespect by that comment, - the work environment of Mila's compound, would no doubt be better than that of the streets of Pattaya.)
I think Mila must have had some understanding with local authorities. To think local authorities where unaware of her presents, or simply had no interest in what she did, is absurd. I think the problem arose when she ether pissed someone off, or a connection to drugs was made. (Drugs unlike prostitution something never over looked and vigorously policed.) It may have also been a case of the wrong integrous official learning of the camming, but I think that is less likely. (Then again we always tend to believe the most insidious things, over other less corrupt options.)
All pure speculation, but to answer your question, - I think Mila got too comfortable with the idea that she was somehow immune to falling a foul of the laws of Thailand, and it offered so much that seemed so nice, she chose to minimize the thought of the potential consequences. :twocents-02cents:
P.S. I respect what PokerBabe and others are doing, and the thought that some effort to cast a voice to the Thai government might change her fate in some way, is nice.... Well it is an honorable effort.
