Do you read the daily newspaper, go on websites, watch it on TV, or listen to the radio? Or, is it a combination?

I am embarrassed to say that I don't really follow the news very well and depend on Jawbs and MFC people/forums to even hear about a lot of stuff. That, or if I happen to watch Letterman/Ferguson as I am going to sleep and they mention it.

Sometimes I browse Reddit and see some headlines there.

I suck at being current. :)

Sometimes I read through the headlines at work. Sometimes I read through the headlines on yahoo.

I read the news paper on my commute and visit CNN and CBC at work. And then there's always Jon Stewart...

I don't watch news either.

I find that it makes for a much peaceful life. The News seems to me like something just filled with gossip; trying to control our feelings and thoughts to whatever subject they're complaining about. That and their arguments sound as bad as someone on the free religion channel.

Yeah. I don't want to be around anything like that.

If there's something majorly important, I'll hear about it online somewhere. Then if I'm interested I can google it.

I find myself hearing about major world events often on IRC.
Earthquakes, Sep 11, ...

I learned about the Tsunami in Thailand on 4chan.

The only 'mass media' I listen to is pretty much Radio 4 in the UK - podcasts of some current affairs programs.

Now that the Weekly World News isn't available at the supermarket checkout anymore, I'm kind of out of the loop.
You too? It's sad to see the most accurate news paper to be removed from stands. A sad state in our economy.

I get all my news from The O'Reilly Factor, since it comes with insightful commentary and intelligent debate. Plus, it's always fair and balanced, unlike those godless heathen at CNN.

On Fox News Network or whatever (the cats like all the boring talking) today they were talking about Apple and whether they get unearned glory from the media. Here's basically what happened:

"The media almost never reports negatively on apple products. What do you think?"
"They deserve it, I love my iPad and I just download things from their app store"

That was it.

Careful, Keithy. If you spot a guy with a receding hairline and a turtleneck glaring at you from across the street, you may want to run. RUN MAN! MOVE THOSE FUCKING LEGS LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!

Sorry... I got a little excited.

i feel like the Presidents press sec.
my father watches(Tivo) CNN and FoxNews and all 3 major news broadcasts and BBC news.(2 Tivo's)
o and the daily show (that is not news btw)
he edits them to show media bias.
but i wake each day and watch a hour of everything meshed together.

Newspapers, radio and word of mouth. I have the NY times app on my phone in which a few articles of interest pop up here and there. I really can't stand watching televised news, I'd have to pre record it so i could fast forward through all the crap. I won't lie though, the one newspaper I subscribe to I usually skim the headlines , go straight to the articles at the back for the newest scientific studies and then to the fun stuff....crosswords, comics, Dave Letterman Top 10 and advice column  I always tell my room mate I'm going to cancel the subscription because the articles are garbage and make me angry, but I keep it around to enjoy the entertainment section with my morning coffee. XD
