Been modding a cam girl for about a month. Her room used to be very busy and active , and she was always trying to promote to new viewers, just in her performance and she would interact with friendly viewers in the chat. The room felt much more alive and she seemed happier.

She works from home now and her room was doing really well for a while , she had some very engaged freindly viewers who saw her as an instant hit and tipped 1000s of tokens, at this time i was just a viewer and im friendly enough myself so its coincidental i also interacted with those viewers back and forth both tipping and she was in her element , she is a nice person and when things are going well its nice to see her genuinely smile.

Its funny that both me and the other guy both mod for her now . Ive watched her shows for about 9 months now been fan club member at the beginning watched when she worked for an agency and now when shes independant.

She had a good month of january. Very active rooms.

This month although she is still clearing a decent amount of tokens over a few platforms . Her room is just alot quieter.

I dont know wether its because she has mods now or wether she doesnt promote herself the way she usually does because mods are in the room.

Its really difficult to tell wether im being helpful or not although its probably less stessful having me in the room , she doesnt promote herself as much i dont know i could be wrong, she has been going offline after a few hours more and more but usually sticks around her usual broadcast schedule when i am modding. Sometimes ill check out offline if im out to see how things are going. And the other mods have usually left the room

So i stick around a bit longer and she always finishes her normal broadcast

I dont know im just trying to think of ways to help or to help try and cheer her up. But at the same time i wonder is it me is it my presence that is changing the room or her output.

Im sure im probably overthinking it but somedays i intentionally dont log on to see if shes had a better day but everytime shes logged off after a few hours.

I like to see her when shes enjoying her work and not feeling deflated.

I wonder over the longterm is it better to have a mod or not. The chat in the room is not what it used to be infact there is much less chat now in the room tips are probably relatively the same .

But with a mod in the room she mostly sits on her phone and sticks it out until the end of the show or until there are more tippers shes a bit more relaxed but without a mod she seems to work harder . And maybe thats more benefical i dont know

But atm its been very quiet more than usual.

So maybe things will pickup im fairly certain they will her room has always been fairly busy but atm i cant tell under the circumstances if modding is helping or hurting or wether its just a quieter few weeks .

you can help by tipping as often as you can.

In addition to trying to tip more, maybe ask her to remove your moderator status (and that of her other mods).

If the presence of moderators is truly a deterrent to other tippers, that should help. And if her room remains slow, well… then she still probably has no use for a moderator anyway.

Not sure about other guys, but if there's a mod in the the room then I generally move on to another room.

Not so much if it's a room with hundreds of viewers that would need someone helping out, but when it's a room with a smaller following.

Here's my take as someone who mods for two models.
Be invisible. The only real thing to do is silencing/muting users for stuff said or done in chat, reporting as necessary, ONLY if the model is not paying attention to chat and may miss things OR if something so egregious in chat (incest, animals, etc) is said and I boot that person before she can react and do the same. For that I always get a "you're faster than me today, thanks" PM from the model.
These two models I tip but I do it thru the DM/PM function so it's never seen in chat.
Mods visibility and little "prompts" to check tip menu, goal countdown, announcements to follow the model, etc. can totally tank a model's shift.
Be a ninja, be invisible and just handle the urgent shit when needed

Sorry for the dbl post but just missed the edit window...
ETA: I tip privately because, as a user, if I go into a room and the mod(s) are tipping the most, It's usually a signal that the model made them a mod because they felt that user was a "whale" and that will encourage them to stick around. Those mods are on such power trips, so much that the model ends up with only the mods in their room as the regular users have found a friendlier room. Just bad dynamics all around.

Not that I'm aware of, but you can do that as an anonymous tipper. If I want something in the menu, I'll pm about it and tip privately. (Again, this is only when I'm a mod)

I've just said the exact same thing in another thread and probably only two weeks since I last said it in yet another thread. Sit there and be supportive. Do the shit that she can't get to quickly enough. Fucking gif spamming nonsense gets on my tits.

And tip. Fucking tip. I've got speaking to guys who moderate for multiple models (I once met a guy who mods for 10!!!) and probably doesn't spend more than 30 tokens a night across all ten of them. One of those serial bores who always targets models with low traffic with "advice" about how to do things better just so that they can then become a moderator and have a little power. It's weird and predatory in my opinion.

If you want to show people how to tip then actually tip instead of posting a gif that says "tip".

As for the OP's initial question. You're probably overthinking it. She could be struggling for any number of reasons, none of which are your business unless she tells you. How to cheer someone up doesn't change just because they are a cam model. Cheer her up the same way you'd cheer anyone up. Just be a good dude to have around. Say something funny from time to time.
