Hooray! Happy Krampus Night, Everyone!

On December 5, Santa Claus' helper-demon Krampus roams the world, punishing the naughty children of the world with whippings, and sometimes even tossing the particularly bad ones into his basket, so as to transport them to HELL.

Surely, it's the most wonderful time of the year!

Anyone ever witness/take part in a Krampusnacht celebration? I've only seen video/pics, but it seems like a hoot.

You have no idea how happy it made me to see this thread. Last year around this time, shirt.woot.com had a Greetings from Krampus shirt which I bought. So many people ask about it and I am overjoyed to explain how the really bad boys and girls get hauled away in this demon's sack.

Krampus is cool, but I want Black Peter (Zwarte Piet) to come to the US. We just don't have enough racist stereotypes anymore. I mean, black men stuffing children into sacks and taking them to Spain!
