I need help. I was in the middle of a show when suddenly a guest posted my full name and state I live in. The guest further stated that he was glad he recorded the show and can't wait for school to start. I'm assuming that this guest is someone that goes to school with one of my kids and that he is a minor. But I blocked the State that I live in so how did he get in my room? Do you know if I have any recourse is there anything I can do? Is there anyway to stop people from recording you when your on cam?

That's horrible! I'm so sorry.

Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do about people recording your shows. They typically use a software that records their entire screen, then crop just the video portion in a video editing software, so it's not like it's through the actual website itself. Sometimes the state block doesn't work properly and messes up, or they could have been in another states, who knows?

Only thing I can say is to block guests and basics when in free chat. I usually don't block basics, honestly, but I always block guests. And if someone says your real name or state, just say, "Nope, not me, but keep trying." Just for the sake of the other people in your room not freaking out over it.

I really don't think there is anything you can do, though, I'm sorry. In this line of business, someone WILL find you out eventually, I'm sorry it had to be like that, though. I don't know... It sounds like if the guest knows your full name and your state... I mean, they could just be trolling you and found you out somehow through either finding your Facebook or other social networking site... or even through a messenger service, so you never know. They might only know your state and your full name. They didn't say your city, so that is some hope, I suppose.

So, they might just be trying to fuck with you and not even live in your state. I'm sorry if that wasn't much help.

MFC pretty much says it always works...
I sent them an e-mail one day because a guest in my room claimed to be from my country, which I blocked.
This is what the MFC Model Support answered:

"The blocking tool uses IP addresses to block locations. It's very accurate and it's working.

More than 99.9% of the time when we get a username so we can investigate an issue like this, the member is lying for whatever reason.

Regarding the guest who bypassed your ban, he may have a dynamic IP or an anonymous proxy. All you can do is ban them until they get bored, or ignore them."

So that guest of yours must have used a proxy or some other way to get a new IP address :(

Oh man. What a mess.
I really hope he was just messing with you the whole thing doesn't spread across your kids' school or something!
Sometimes I'm glad I don't have any children yet. :/

To block states/regions etc it blocks IP's. I can view anybody that has my state blocked by simply using my air card through Verizon. Its very easy to get around all they need to use is a Proxy.

Im sorry this happend to you and I hope it gets resolved, but blocking states is not a way to stay 100% secure. There is always somebody smarter...

I have my state blocked but there are members from my state in my room all the time. Its really only a partial block. MOST people will be blocked but members with different circumstances ( like Elay's air card) can get around it easily. If you're really freaking out all you can do is stop camming or atleast doing public shows till you figure this out because i highly doubt this persons gonna pay to join a group or anything. Im sorry this happened to you. Best of luck!

Hm, I'm sure you can do that if you don't have any proof that he's the done who did it :/
He could just print out screenshots and put them up at the school at night, for example. Ugh, I don't even want to think about it.

fffffuuuuuuu seriously

What an asshole.

But honestly I don't think its real
Just someone who likes to fuck around and troll

As what the other girls said
don't do your shows in public and always be carefull because it can actually happen

Wish u all the best babe xx

You can't stop people recording from their computer. It really could be anybody online or in real, someone could have gleaned personal information from or about you (online or in real) and used that to gather more.

You can get the Guest ID and time from your chat archives. Ask MFC if they can identify the IP for that guest at that time, and if they can they should ban them.

Point out that they posted your personal details, stated they've recorded you, and are implicitly threatening to distribute that to harass you and your children at school.

[Among other things] Members may not:
Record or distribute the video or other contents found on this website.
Post private or personal information of other members or models.

It's reasonable for you to believe this person may be a member trying to hide their identity by logging in as a guest, and it's not as if guest status provides immunity either.

You do have legal recourse against cyberstalking, so if another incident occurs online or in real report it to police. What you're doing is your own business, what they're doing is criminal (federal or state).

They threatened you under cover of a Guest ID to get your reaction, otherwise they didn't need to say anything. This thread is part of your reaction, so they may well read it. But carrying out their threat, or just repeating it, would put them at risk. If they do reappear you might tell them that and suggest they'd better crawl back under the rock they came from.

Cyberstalking may be illegal, but I find it hard to believe that simply posting somebody's contact information could be considered cyberstalking.

Too many armchair lawyers in here.

You got a amazon wish list on your profile?

I read, at one of topics here, that some stalkers can find this kind of info from amazon wish lists.
