I have found this really useful way of dealing with unwanted friend requests:

Decline them. Or ignore them

Even when I was spending a lot of tokens on the site (I went a bit nuts the first 18 months ) adn getting friend requests, I never felt that the requests were that intrusive. I always used to reply politely saying no thanks. Most responded thanking me for actually replying politely to them! (although some got their noses out of joint) I always tried to cut them some slack, after all, they were just grafting, trying to make a living.

Seriously though, I am sure there is a setting somewhere in your profile to remove the ability of others sending unsolicited friend requests? Either that or I am completely undesirable, as I never get friend requests from models any more
