1) What was the strangest / most surprising thing about the job when you started working? Did the experience match your expectations?

How supportive the community is.
When I started, I didn't expect both models and members to be as welcoming as they are. My first experiences were with those sidebar advertisements and my first few days of camming involved many people being incredibly rude and demanding. I learned about regulars, about friendships, about models supporting and having each others' backs. It was a wonderful surprise, and it's one of the things I wish mainstream society could understand about camming.

2) What is your attitude toward nudity in your regular life? Do you find that you are more modest / self-conscious when off camera? Has the way you view your body changed significantly as a result of camming?

I don't understand the shame involved with nudity. I've always found it more unusual that people are completely disturbed by each other's bodies. It was just one of those things that never made sense to me.

Camming has provided a boost to my self esteem. Oddly enough, the camming world's version of heckling provided me with more self esteem than any compliments I've ever gotten! I learned to stop giving a fuck about the insults and recognize them as feeble attempts at knocking down a happy person. The trolls unintentionally have helped my self confidence.

3) Have you ever worked / would you ever consider working in a strip club? If no, what is the main thing about that job that puts you off? If you have worked both jobs, what are the biggest differences between stripping and camming?

I've never worked in a strip club, and I never intend to. I have respect all avenues of sex work, but it's just not for me. I prefer having full control over my work. With camming I feel that I'm allowed more creativity and freedom of expression.

4) Do you consider yourself a feminist? What do you think the future of cam sites is as society becomes more progressive in gender issues?

I support the idea of gender equality, but I don't consider myself a feminist.

By state laws, I could easily be considered a prostitute because I do live sex shows. Prostitution is considered one of the oldest professions and it still is considered disgusting to most of society. Many families will disown sex workers. Many people will mock sex workers with "What would your father think?" Hell, countless people even bitch at their spouses for watching porn! I don't believe sex work is going to be considered socially acceptable for a very long time.

Have been enjoying this topic, been a good read. Just wanted to lighten it up with a few songs that remind me of models.
