That also include onlyfans/fansly?
Unknown at this time. This is usually the first step a site takes when it wants to monetize features -- banning any perceived competition.

From the linked article, "Specifically, we will remove accounts created solely for the purpose of promoting other social platforms and content that contains links or usernames for the following platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Mastodon, Truth Social, Tribel, Nostr and Post."

Not yet. Just the major "competitors" to Twitter for now, but it's a slippery slope.

Creators/cam models probably most affected by Instagram and linktree type links being banned for now.

Every model should have their own website. It's very useful to have a centralized place to send your customers, and if your main site you use to make money changes that ensures they can always find you through your website. Never know when a site might go under or when you find a better place to cam or sell your clips. Just a simple site ensures your customers can always find where to buy from you.

Plenty of tools out there so that you can do it yourself easily and it's not that expensive at all. I use namecheap and hostgator.

Exactly! I have my own site as well and it definitely makes it easier.

Twitter is now holding a vote on the Twitter Safety account so you can cast your votes in the next 15 hours or so. They faced a ton of backlash and when I voted the "NO, we don't need this policy" answer had more than 80% on the poll. So yeah, I don't think this will be implemented anytime soon.

@AmberCutie

Could always link to a pastebin

The original ban indicated that any use of "link shortening services" to point to the banned sites was also banned. And inspecting the links to see if they redirect is not that hard to code, though one could probably create a link shortening service that was smart enough to tell a real web browser from a automatic and give each a different link.
