Have I violated some unwritten rule and been marked?

Sometimes I get up to go let my dog out or go to the bathroom and come back and for no explicable reason I am banned from a room. I get that models don't want lurkers, but this sometimes happens in rooms that I have spoken in before.

I never do anything rude or disrespectful, I tip, and I am generally what I would think is a pretty good regular member. Is there some sort of mark on my MFC profile that is causing models to do this? I only ask because this is now the third time it's happened and It's starting to become annoying. I get up to go to the bathroom and I come back and I am banned. What gives?

Any insight would be helpful, it seems silly to leave a room for a 3 minute trip downstairs to let the dog out or to go to the bathroom.

Because they assume you are lurking. Just go back to the main page when you go afk. Even if it's three minutes.

Or tip her like 10 tokens and with a message brb taking the dog out.

That is really bizarre DP667, models usually don't ban members lightly. I doubt lurking would lead to a ban. If it happens while you are gone, I can only suggest that you log out of the room before taking a break.

Check that the model/s didn't have a ban option in their tip menu, another member might have paid for it. There will usually be an unban option in that case.
You will sometimes find that two or more members like similar models, perhaps one such member has taken a dislike to you, perhaps one who likes to play the room helper role.

I thought MFC the model can see how many tokens you have available or your spending level or something like that. Maybe you're sitting at zero or look like you never spend money so they more likely to boot you. I'm not a MFC guy so I'm guessing.

Streamate they can see if you're a money spender or not, but then again there are some crazy models out there that defy logic.

It can happen as a glitch that is resolved by doing a full refresh... but I don't know how frequently it's happening. If they are lower traffic rooms the chances you are being banned are higher, because they may be saying hello to you and getting no response. If you interact every time you are in a room, even a lil bit then you can say "brb" when you step away and models wont assume you are a cap bot

Fair question. I tip pretty frequently (not every visit) I dont ask for any attention from the models... Mostly in busy rooms. The last one was in a room that had 380 people in it. I tend not to try and dominate models time and attention as I know they are busy and working to make money. It just seems very bizarre to me.

Good point, I just think it's weird and I really am doing nothing to warrant it. I can give you lists of models whos rooms Ive been into and they'd vouch that I am not some weird troll or asshole. I just am baffled.


I just thought to ask because maybe models know something I didn't. I recently got a mail from mfc that said I am now at 1000 reward points or something weird like that. I had no idea there was a "Green level" I was already "platinum" for many years. It just all seems weird.

Well I thought so too but when I came back later I still was banned AND I cannot send an MFC mail to that model to say "Hey I'm sorry whatever happened that made you ban me, but I won't do it again." so I think it was either an accidental click (which has happened to me SEVERAL times) or something else weird I don't k now about.

in the past i have experienced glitches in flash players that gave me a 'You are banned' screen. It is totally possible those glitches may occasionally happen still. Have you updated your flash player recently?

After that, try to find out who hit that button. Was it the model or an over-zealous room helper?
And if it was the model: I'd say move along.. she made a choice.. and any ban always has a possibility the model will never see the banned person again. I know I definitely wouldn't bother anymore.

This bug still exists on MFC. I've experienced it as recently as June or July, and someone else I know mentioned seeing it a few weeks ago. But closing the window and reloading MFC fixes it.

Google automatically updates the flashplayer. I use Chrome. I tend to hate IE and FF.

I've also been banned after being in a room for 5 seconds. It seems she got sick of people not talking, so she went through and banned everyone. I got caught in it unaware.

This is why there are lounges. Now that you have 1000 reward points, you should see two of them available to you. You can pop both of them up at the same time you know. You can also make notes on any model or member to remind yourself of these precious little moments.

I guess it's just aggravating that you aren't doing anything devious and you're still being punished. Especially after some of the things I read in these chats. You're probably right.

I live in the US. I use a VPN for work (I dont log into rooms with it I only used it to test out a theory that something was up with my connection.)

I have not reached out via twitter as my twitter is professional and not linked to my private life. I could try that. Although I have no idea these twitter ids.

To be honest I don't check to see if I am banned after one time.. I figure they must have had some good justification that I am not privy to and I move on. I am kind of regretting even asking here but I was just so annoyed because life happens. I get up from the computer and take care of things going on in the background and I don't think I should be punished for it.

oh well dude, you gots to at least refresh and look again. This is a very common and well known glitch that requires only a simple refresh... and you were informed of this first thing when you posted.
