It would certainly be a surprise, but I wouldn't mind if the girl proposed. On a side note note, it would kinda suck to be born on Feb. 29th and I seriously doubt any brides would like to married on Feb.29th.

It's always amazed me that cultures like the Mayans and Egyptians were able to conclude there were approximately 365.25 days in a year considering the limited technology available at the time.

I definitely wouldn't want to get married on leap year! Just another excuse for guys to forget their anniversary..but with a legit excuse!! LOL! As far as being proposed to? Sure, why not?

I was almost born on Feb 29th! I wish I would've been. My mom went into labor, but they stopped labor because it was too soon. I was born exactly a month later.

I'd only have 5 birthdays, including this year, if I was born on that day

I've known an abnormal amount of people born February 29th. They totally just party from like Feb 27th to March 2nd. I was always a little jealous of the "pick when your birthday is" thing.

I missed being born on leap year by 16 days.

And Proposals... not a problem at all if a girl proposes (my mother did). A proposal means less to a marriage than the first date means to a long term relationship.

I just think relationships between equals are nice, and to be honest as an atheist I doubt I would ever ask unless it was necessary for legal reasons.

I don't like asking for things. Probably because I don't like saying no when I'm asked for something, so I find the act of asking for something as an imposition. Something like this is likely to cause for an awkward moment unless I already knew the answer was yes, so I would not do so unless we'd already talked about marraige, and he'd expressed some sort of interest but with reservations about my interest.

That's a lot of big words, but those are the ones that first come to mind. I forget the little words like "shelf" and remember the big ones like "receptacle".
