According to the article, no passwords have been compromised, but twitter usernames and "OAuth tokens" have been released. OAuth tokens are used to give access to 3rd party apps to your twitter account. So if somebody had your username and OAuth token, they could theoretically access your account.
The quick fix? Revoke and reestablish access rights for all third-party apps tied to your Twitter account. You will find this under "settings", then "apps". It took me about 5 seconds and then I had to refresh tweetdeck.
