I searched, and really couldn't find an answer, but you can point me there if you know of another thread! This is for everyone- not just models.

I want to start learning to make my own graphics, nothing super fancy- just simple, upgrades from what I have going on now (aka- screen capping my word products LOL) - but I honestly have no clue where to start. Do you recommend certain programs, websites for learning, books, etc? I was going to take a class on HTML/CSS so I could work on my profile without being so confused, but I live in the middle of BFE and there's nothing offered around here that I can take without being on a degree plan. & honestly- it's all so confusing. I need a place to start!

Download GIMP, or find a copy of photoshop. Or there are hundreds of free, easy image editors.

Search DaFont.com for fun fonts that you might want to use and learn how to install them, that's a quick google.

All you really need to learn how to do is paint, place an image, place some text and use some brushes. In most cases this is as simple as just clicking a button to change the tool and clicking on your image, changing a few settings to match what you'd like.

You can google for these very easily and slso, youtube has 4 million tutorials for image editing. I started learning photoshop when I was 12, so if I could do it then, you can definitely do it now without having to pay for a college course or paying someone else. It's even fun. If you need more help, like specifics I can probably help more if you'd like.

Nice websites to find out how to do certain tricks graphically are Digital Tutors, some are free tutorials others are paid or a website called Tutorialized where majority of tutorials are free. As Lacie says, the best always is to get your hands on Photoshop, start playing and let the creative juices flow.
If you need any pointers you can send me a PM as well.

Have fun.

If you just want to know how to edit your MFC profile, you don't have to waste money on a class! There are soooo many tutorials on the web. I learned HTML and CSS from this site: http://www.w3schools.com/html/default.asp All you really need to know for MFC is basic HTML, unless you are trying to make it super fancy :)

Well mostly I want to make my own graphics, for like videos, promotions, twitter "follow" signs, etc. but honestly I've used w3schools before and... it confuses the shit out of me... I know I feel SOOO dumb but I can not follow that site to teach me anything. Everyone suggests it for HTML, but I just get confused! Lol.

Thanks Cassie for that link, I'm going to check it out now!

Try this one, it's for people who know absolutely nothing about HTML. ^_^

Page Tutor

I think it's the one I used when I had forgotten everything I had learned five years prior and was trying to make a web page. The stuff I had forgotten I learned in 15 minutes and never used again, so all I really remembered were the basic tags that are exactly like the tags on this forum, just with < > instead of [ ]

However, I also skipped the first two lessons where those basic tags are taught, so it should work for you. :)

I hope this thread can be used for all graphics questions...? :?

This has been driving me crazy for an hour:
How do you rotate and position tubes on Paint Shop Pro?
I want to put a tube across my face in a tip screenshot but I need to reposition it because it's never positioned quite right when I just put it there. When I try picking it up with the hand tool, nothing happens. I googled it and read that you're supposed to make a new grid layer first, I did that and it still doesn't work.
Is there anyone who can help me? :/
