Hi all,

I decided to give C4S a try. But, after I print and sign my W9, how do I send it back to them? No one is answering when I call the toll free number...

:dontknow:

I have a printer/scanner, so I just scanned the papers and uploaded it. If you don't have access to a scanner, you can take pictures of them with a decent-quality phone or camera, and upload that.

B) I sell my solo videos on MFC for about 200 tokens each. Is it unrealistic to hope for the same on my clips? [/b]

Most certainly not, if we will pay a price on MFC, surely the same content should be equqlly valuable elsewhere. Some of us may not because 200 tokens sounds different than $19.99, but my best guess would put these guys in the minority.

Personally, price doesn't matter as much to me on C4S. I'm there to get specialized fetish clips, I'm already expecting to pay a bit more than the norm would be because these are tailored for a specific audience, would rquire a bigger rate of ROI in order to break even. That's just sensible economics if you ask me. When looking at the stuff I've bought, most of it is in he $5-$15 range. A lot of the lower-priced ($8 and below) were mainly bought by "throwing it in" with the stuff I had come to shop for originally. I buy my clips in bulk, so a small additional clip for a couple bucks doesn't make the same dent as a longer clip would.

TRIGGER WARNING: I'll do my best to avoid the topic as much as I can, but I'll be touching on descriptions of simulated sexual assault in this post. Proceed with caution.

Does anybody know whether or not it'possible to filter out certain categories? Because I recently had a buying experience on C4S that left me more than a little disturbed and remorseful. You see, among the things I'm into are embarrassment, involuntary stripping, mind control, hypnosis, games/bets and the like. The aspect to this that appeals to me is seeing an unsuspecting character/person being thrust into a situation they are not in control of and seeing how they react. However, as is inherent with a fetish that fundamentally revolves around one person having control of anothers actions/thoughts, there is an overlap with several other fetishes that revolve around non- or not entirely consensual sex, which I often refer to as "the absolute worst thing one human being can do to another."

You can imagine my dilemma, on the one hand there is the fun consensual trigger play (or as they say on MFC, "control shows") and the "Oh my god, this is so embarassing, I'm naked in front of a total stranger" and on the other there is what I like to call "nice guy porn" (usually POV-shot clips clearly written by and/or for people who believe the friendzone is an actual thing that exists) and the clips where consciousness of the victim is optional at best.

There are two clips in particular that I bought fairly recently that come to mind what I'm trying to avoid. I've spoilered them both because they don't pertain to the actual discussion here aside from being examples.
The first involves a girl who has lost a bet with a multi-stage forfeit. The description of the video described it as her being filmed with the intent of it being put on the internet while dancing first in her underwear, then without panties, and then the third stage in which "well, you'll just have to buy the video to find out ;)". Now I don't mind this, I can certainly see the appeal to leaving something to the imagination and it works as a good sales pitch, it cultivates interest. With this in mind, I bought the clip and all was good. Lighting could have been better, but the girl was cute as fuck and sold the whole "OMG this is going on the internet later" thing quite well. And as an aside, narrative is very important for me in these clips, that's where the fantasy comes in, after all. As the clip progressed, I kept wondering what that third part would be. Now I pride myself on my pattern recognition skills, and since she still had her shirt and bra on, the next logical step would have been for her to dance completely naked, right? Or maybe calling a pizza guy, or going streaking at best. I got none of those things. Stage 3 was sex. Now I don't have a problem with that as such either, as I said narrative is important and this was a bet, one that ostensibly she entered of her own free will. I may not have been expecting it, but sure, I can work with se...did she just say "I didn't agree to this?"...did he just chloroform her? Why would he chloroform a girl who was willingly (if reluctantly) having sex with him? What's the point of that? That was an epic boner 10 minutes in the making killed in 10 seconds flat because the story apparently demanded physical assault and two minutes more of footage that I didn't bother to sit through. Yeah, you read that right, I quit playing a 12-minute porn video. I have sat through a Serbian Film, I've sat through Crack Whore, a mivie that is best described as "just over an hour's worth of pain" and "the best possible argument against IMDB's rating system, seriously how the fuck did this end up with a 6.7 out of 10?"
The second was one I'd had reservations about before purchasing. It was the description more than anything, really. Girl visits friend in a distraught state after literally just breaking up with her boyfriend. Friend offers her a place to stay and proceeds to talk her out of her clothes, ending with
He even gets her to sleep in his bed NAKED! How far will he push it? What a friend..
Since buying this video, vague shit at the end of the description like that has become a bright Ferrari red flag for me. Because even though the video was really good for the first 9 minutes, after which the guy says "let's get you to bed" and we see her walking to the bedroom, fading slowly out, the video then continues with him getting in bed next to her and fondling her in her sleep :woops: See what I mean when I say "nice guy porn"? You don't get to call yourself a friend when your first reaction to her being at her most vulnerable is to get her inebriated, naked and then molesting her.

So yeah, two videos that should have been right up my alley, but ruined by the boner-killing final two minutes. Does anyone know if I could somehow filter out certain categories (because I've seen the same clip coming up under multiple categories, suggesting you can tag them with multiple tags). It would seem like the logical choice for C4S to implement this kind of search capability since fetishes are often incredibly specific.

Honestly I have no clue if there's a way to filter out stuff like that. It wouldn't hurt to message support though. They're pretty awesome about taking suggestions like this and implementing them; firsthand experience. I'm sorry you bought some videos that you were unhappy with. I'd feel jarred if it happened to me.

Edit: I'm not sure how other studios feel about it, but maybe message the studio and ask for clarification next time?

Thanks, I'll try that :)

Yeah, it completely caught me off-gaurd, I've ben using the site for over 5 years now and never had a problem like this until now.

If it was me and they didn't already have the possible outcomes listed, I'd message the studio and ask (in the future). As a studio owner, I try to always post a possible list of outcomes for clips similar to this so that the buyer has a general idea of what they're going to get. Example: video A is an orgasm video and video B is a video of me laughing at them, but the buyer won't know which is which even though I've listed both possible outcomes. It protects me as the seller, and prevents an unhappy buyer.

This actually sounds like something that support might want to implement, especially given the nature of the fetish. I've had support change/add a few rules when I've requested it of them, so it definitely doesn't hurt to ask. Worst case scenario they tell you tough luck. Best case scenario they alter their search features and/or work with the above mentioned studios.

Once you sell a video, can you upload the same one and sell it again?

If you post it in a different format, yes.

I'm going to assume, possibly mistakenly?, from your question that you mean can a video only sell once. If that's not what you're asking, I'm going to answer anyways in case someone else was thinking it. It's a no. Once you post a video, it will/can keep selling until you completely remove it from your store. For example: I post a video of my feet getting tickled and never take it down. That video can potentially sell an unlimited number of times.

Since videos are posted in digital format then there's no limit to how many people can buy them.

Well in that case I don't understand why there are stores out there with only 1 video. I'd have a ton!

I thought it would be dumb to only be able to sell a video once. You work hard making it, then get your $5.99 and WHAM that's it, go make another. Glad that's not the case.

Are you talking about Videos4sale or Clips4sale? Videos is actual, tangible dvds that you mail out as far as I know.

Clips4sale is the digital stuff. In order to accept payments though you have to have 10 clips available in your store.

Do they have just 1 clip in their entire store, or just on one category? When you look at a studio from a category's page, it only shows you the clips they have in that category. It's fairly common to only have one or two clips per category to start with, to test out what's going to sell well for you.

For men: Does it turn you off to see a fart/pee clip in someones store? Not the main focus, but a clip or two?
Thanks for asking this! This is actually something I worry about frequently since I cater to such a huge variety of fetishes.

I actually purchased a video from a model I really like that was of her peeing on a teddybear that an ex bf had given her. I'm not really "pee on ex's teddybear" fan, but she's a funny lady and it made me laugh.

It kind of reminded me of a woman I once worked with. In her divorce settlement, for reasons I never understood, she got all of her ex-husband's neckties. For years, every day she'd have a necktie hanging from the closed trunk of her car with a sign: EX HUSBAND IN TRUNK. A different tie every day, always freshly cleaned. It wasn't so much a revenge sort of thing as a way to make her co-workers laugh.

You have to have at least 10 different clips uploaded. Then you send them an email letting them know you're ready to sell.

Just for future reference I wanted to add: they have to be ten totally different clips. You can't upload two of the same clip, but formatted differently (like .mp4 and .wmv). I mean you can, but they won't count when it comes to the first ten they want you to upload. :thumbleft:

I have 10 different clips uploaded already, and have since the day I signed up. I didn't know you had to email them to start selling?!?!

For my first store, they just did it, but generally speaking you might as well email them and they get it done pretty quickly!

Yep, gotta email them! :) Or at least, I had to because I waited two days and they didn't do anything until I emailed them. Then it was good to go in about an hour.

For those of you who make drinking videos. What do you do in them? Talk? Sexy dance? Strip? Or do you just slam back as much alcohol as you can in as short a time as possible? I don't understand this fetish. Please halp.

I was thinking about getting drunk and playing Skyrim, but I can't tell if this is a terrible (but fun for me) idea.

Slam back as much alcohol as possible, play video games, flash my boobs on occasion, drunk dial and talk their faces right the fuck off.

The first one I had, that sold painfully well, was a custom. His request was for me to drink as much as I could off camera, then turn on the camera when I was definitely drunk, keep drinking on camera and just see what happens. This is the clip for reference: http://clips4sale.com/54271/11492879

To date, it is my highest selling clip of all time and I doubt it will ever be knocked out of its spot. It still sells regularly.

I've received messages from a couple other people in the drinking fetish who've told me that pretty much no matter what else I produce, they'll buy it and will continue to buy any future drinking clips from me. My guess is the guys into drinking are similar to those who like hiccups. If you can produce quality content to get your foot in the door, you'll probably be able to count on all those future sales as well. :thumbleft:

Oh, and I feel I should note that I never drink enough to endanger myself in any of these clips. I also keep a sober spotter on hand at all times because even though this is a lucrative fetish, my health and safety aren't worth it. Everyone has different limits though so yours may be a lot higher than mine is.

What email did you use? All I see is a phone number to call.
Under admin homepage click on the teeny purple button that says Producer Support. Create a new ticket from there. :)

Whoa. You look smashed in that clip. I'll have to wait to do something like that. My "support" is at work right now.

I really, really, really appreciate everyone who answers questions like mine on here. You ladies are seriously the best. (And I haven't even started drinking!)

That's the point. ;)

Like I said though, I never drink more than I can safely handle and so far, I always look way more intoxicated than I actually am. It helps to pick the gifs at a really good spot in the clip. I don't want to share too much because I have worked incredibly hard to create a certain look for those types of clips. I am a lightweight though, but so far I've only been drunk ~7 times in my life, and have only had 1 hang over. It's really, really important to know your limits and practice safe behavior when filming clips like this. I'm not saying this directly at you, just taking the opportunity to say this for anyone else reading that is thinking of filming clips like this. Drinking can be a really risky activity and even more so when you're purposefully trying to achieve a certain level of intoxication. It's up to you to know where that balance is: drunk enough to please any drinking fetishists but not so far gone that you're endangering yourself.
