My favourites are;
Plague Inc.... Use a virus, bacteria, Neurax worm, Zombies to destroy the world.
The Room.... A puzzle, escape the room style game.
Slice.... Avoid the knives and press the red buttons.
Gears of Time.... Use ropes, chains and gears to connect power source to required gear/ gears.
Cogs... Steam punk style gear and pipe puzzle game, activate the device.
Osmos.... An organic speck in a soup of others, keep it alive and growing.
(Nothing beats a good stickman or shooter game at times either)

I run emulator apps and play roms of old console games from NES, SNES, Gameboy, N64, etc...
You can find the apps in the Google & Amazon stores. The free versions usually either have ads or don't allow you to load a game save.
You have to seek out the Roms elsewhere.

I got a MicroUSB to USB adapter for about $3 off Amazon too so I can connect a gaming controller to the tablet. Some roms are easier than others with the touch screen controls.

I like 2048; preferable to others because it gives me something to think about and focus on, but I can easily close it and revert my attention elsewhere.

This just got me really excited since I emulate all of those older games on my comp, on the go would be awesome. Thank you!

I'm a sucker for lame time killers on my phone. Things like CandyCrush/4Pics1Word. Oooh, I love playing Line Runner. I don't know why. I just get lost in it. You're just a stick dude on a graph paper environment. Tap the left side of the screen to roll under things, tap the right side to jump over. You can even enable/disable blood!

Bloons Tower Defense 5 tends to be my go-to tablet game. Sometimes Bad Piggies or Terraria, too.

Now that I have a bunch of old adventure games, I think I'm gonna try my hand at porting them to play on my tablet via an emulator. Touch devices strike me as a perfect platform for point-and-click style games. I'm actually surprised that there aren't more of the type out there -- or at least good ports of old games.

I went through a brief "Giant Boulder of Death" addiction... the only thing that snapped me out of it is the glitches. it often freezes and locks up your whole phone once you start to get to the badass levels. But so worth it.

If you have friends, you need to check out Artemis (Steam, PC, Android and I assume iOS). But you NEED friends to play with. I, unfortunately don't have friends to play with, so I'm stuck wishing I could play.

I have very mixed feelings when it comes to games on smaller devices like the iPhone. While at times I really enjoy playing them I feel the gaming industry on the smaller devices has been kinda ruined by greedy developers. Games such as Clash of Clans and Simpsons: tapped out are great examples of this. I've played both games and both are heavily relient on in-app purchases.
Like quite a few people I've seen mention in reviews in the app store I'd much rather pay say $3-5 to buy the game than have to pay for in-app items.
Having said all that I am excited by the news that a Game of Thrones game has been released for the IOS. I'm usually impatient with IOS games and don't like all the waiting around for things like engery to refill, but being a big fan of the show for this I'm hoping I can be patient, lol.

Clash of Lords
Clash of Lords 2
Clash of Lords 2 Chinese version
Clash of Lords 2 Russian version (I think it's Russian)

I know I'm lame. I love COL so much (and I am ashamed to admit how much I spent on them. That stops today :woops: )

I've found this one game recently...And it's super freaking addictive and cute
The Battle Cats.

It's a game where it's kind of like a tower defense game and you constantly have to wait to have $$$ to buy troops during it. You can upgrade your troops, the speed of money you earn, and even regenerating your cannon faster! It's freeeeee
