So today I found my first gray hair, I guess I'm full blown adult now!! (Now really hah)

When did you first notice gray hair? How did you feel about it?

Started getting grey hair when I was 18, particularly around my neck, but now it's starting to show around my crown. Thankfully it's more silver than grey and not wire-y looking. At first I was pretty bummed, I stressed about it. I used to defensive when older women would pluck and point them out (How rude!) but over the years, I've just learned not to stop caring as much not spazz if I have a few greys peaking. I do dye my hair often, usually reds/purples,

I was in my teens. At 21 I started having to dye my hair to cover it because it was very obvious if I put my hair back. I'm 27 now and all around my hairline and the underneath layer of my hair is over 50% Gray! I don't feel bad or old because it's just genetics. It's just frustrating to hide or dye with it being so dye resistant and having naturally black hair. I think I'll be perfectly happy to let my hair go natural in 10 years or so.

30. I had a few grey hairs randomly across my head. I'm 31 now, and I don't have any extra ones yet.

13. It was a shitty stressful year and I had a few greys around my crown. I discovered this when my classmates would FUCKING YANK THEM OUT while saying "oh, you have a grey hair!"

I didn't really give a shit that I had grey hairs, but I was furious that people kept pulling them out without permission. A couple used the excuse that they "didn't think it was attached!" Doesn't matter, fuck you, don't touch another person's hair without permission!

I started going gray at 19!!! There's no justice! At 28, I'm about half and half and it's infuriating. Of course, I've been coloring my hair pretty consistently since my l late teens so it's mostly hidden.

I noticed my first grey hair at about 30. 34 now, and I still have just the one as far as I can tell. Grey hair wouldn't bother me--it'd be easier to dye pink! I suck at bleaching my roots on my own, so I've chosen long hair over fun hair for now. But... the single lonely silver strand I have is much thicker than the rest of my hair and so it sticks straight up. I pluck it when I see it!

My dad (60) and my gramma (81) are still mostly brown, but my mom started going grey at 19 and hasn't had a single brown hair since I was in high school. I'm guessing I take after my dad's side.

I started going grey in high school. At like 14. I use it as further proof that someone in my ancestral line totally sold their soul for boobs.

I started getting grey hair when I was 20 and it progressed through the years to the point where my hair is more silver than dark brown. I've always had a nice head of healthy hair though, so if anyone asks about it, I'll say I prefer having grey hair rather than no hair (or losing it). I always have it short and cut it myself using electric clippers.

Women really like it on me and as I've gotten older it seemed to have come into fashion along with being rich. I've had younger women (in their 20's) refer to me as "an attractive older man" and that used to make me cringe a bit but eventually accepted it as a compliment once I realized they were saying it to seduce rather than insult me.

Regarding grey hair on women, I'm all about the natural look and find it attractive.

I haven't found any greys yet, but my hairline did start receding at 18/19.

I had to stop giving my dad shit about his balding when I realized mine is just as bad and he's 30+ years older than me...

My dad was walking out of the shower in basic training and an older guy did a double-take. It's not every day you see a 17-yr-old who's bald on top but looks like a gorilla from the shoulders down.

Though, now that he's in his late 40's, he's a silverback. :giggle:

I just found my first one yesterday - in my eyebrow, of all places - and it's kinda amusing to be going grey at 26. The ladies on my mum's side all went silver-grey, so I'm hoping I'll get lucky like that as well.
