I find the news coverage on this disgusting and vomit inducing.

It's true that once a girl has performed a sexual act on camera the world thinks that she is up for dissecting publically with no sensitivity or acknowledgement that she herself is a person with her own story.

WOW! People disgust me.

"She should have known doing a porn video would bring negative attention."~Random asshole commenter.

Is the same thing as saying any fat bullying victim should have known that eating too many donuts would bring them negative attention.

A girl kills herself after being bullied about her looks and it's a tragedy.
A girl kills herself after being bullied about her profession and she had it coming?

This is BS. Whether the porn shoot was the right choice for her or not is not what's being discussed. It's not even worth discussing. It was done and she didn't kill herself after the shoot. She killed herself after the bullying from her former classmates!

This should be treated like what it is: a tragedy that a girl with such a long life ahead of her felt so badly at this one point in her life that she decided to end it.

Anytime someone, especially a young person, takes their life it is a tragedy. It' s especially sad with a young person because you know that it gets better.

I didn't look at what the haters say because I already know what they would say.

My lord, what a tragic thing. This young girl had her entire life before her and those heartless bastards behind keyboards drove her to suicide. She was so intelligent, so beautiful, she had so much to give and should have led a full and productive life. My heart goes out to her family.

All these "she should have expected it" comments make me sick. Just because it happens doesnt mean it should.

So suddenly doing a porn is wrong and such an awful crime that you deserve to die? Its okay to be harassed until you can't stand living anymore? Because essentially thats what these people are saying by dismissing the harassment. I bet the people leaving those kinds of comments jerk off to the stuff, I guess thats okay though. Just normal and healthy for a dudely dude.

A letter from Belle Knox about the incident

Thoughts and reactions?
Thank you in advance

Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death for young woman age 20-24. Behind unintentional injuries but well ahead of homicides, obviously tragic.

I really liked Belle's letter she is becoming quite a eloquent spokesperson for the industry.

Very sad indeed, especially when somebody so young with so much promise feels like there is no hope. I'm sure there is far more to her story than cyber bullying because the few Tweets they showed didn't seem all that horrible or degrading. Her childhood and lack of a parental role model probably played more of a part than stranger's Tweets despite her mother saying so. As far as cyber bullying goes... something Dr. Phil said that I wish everybody would learn regardless of what they see stated on social media is: ''You wouldn't worry so much about what people thought about you if you knew how seldom they did."

The following portion from Belle's statement also stood out to me:

As several news outlets have pointed out, your story is my story is your story -- is every young porn girl's story. The same tragedy, the same parents' nightmare, the same slut-shaming following an impulsive decision to make an X-rated video for the Internet that captures our sexuality -- for pay no less -- forever.

As has been stated on this very forum countless times... people need to think long and hard before doing anything remotely pornographic related on the interwebz, it's forever.

There is always help & hope available even if it doesn't seem so.
