Friendlist entries for tokens

I don't restrict anymore because my friendslist became a list of people who had paid to talk to me and that meant they thought they could PM me til their fingers turned blue..

Now I say, PM me if you have something PRIVATE to say. I add people to my friends list when they are my FRIEND. Or a big tipper =P

It's working out actually, I thought it would be an influx of "open tits bb" but more annoyingly, people waste my time by starting with "Hi." And thats it. If you are going to PM me, you should probably start with Hi and then the topic of conversation - I'm way more likely to answer.

Well, not really bashing, simply highlighting a few oversights. Right at the start you appeared to have missed the main point about MFC being a workplace. The models are here because they wish to earn. To do that they employ as many techniques as they see fit to achieve that goal. Therefore they MUST show more focus on making money above anything else. This is their job. Everything else, such as "deep friendships" are secondary, to be considered a bonus should they ever happen, but are never to be expected as any god given right just because you tipped a model. As has been stressed in the past, MFC is an entertainment site where the girls work, not a dating site.

On that note, I've actually stopped PM'ing models for the most part when they're on cam, simply because a) it takes their attention away from the room and b) I realized that 90% of the stuff I pm are simply things that could really could just be talked about in normal open chat.

You hear models say "guys chat in free chat not pms please", or "hold on let me get caught up on pms" (and they're all just smalltalk). If the room is dead quiet and you're in a pm conversation with the model about anything that contains neither information regarding services the model may render nor personally sensitive information such as email addresses etc, then you're a jerk.

Models wouldn't need to charge for friend list if there weren't thousands of toolbags who pm them about meaningless bullshit all day long.

Unfortunately the guys that pay to get on a friend list are usually those same toolbags who are basically paying for the ability to write meaningless crap to the model (most of which she won't read, or will scan at best, or may even post on this forum somewhere if you're retarded in an entertaining way).

I think Amber's policy is best (and as JJ said since she doesn't do privates I guess) - she adds you cos she feels like it and if you're an annoying chatterbox she'll probly delete you.

I think sometimes, members don't think of it that way. Yeah that shit annoys me. But I have come to realize a lot of members simply don't think of it that way. Most of them, when you tell them WHY, they go, "Oh, my bad. Sorry, I didn't think of that. No problem." Nerdguy was just saying that he realized that, && stopped doing it, && WHY. If more members realized that, it would be great. Fuck, at least he even get's it. I've explained it to fucking retards before, && THEY STILL TRY TO GO AT IT. I used to add people to my friends list when they asked me to, without any charge, and as a result I ended up with a friends list full of people who had been in my room once and sent me a whole load of pointless nonsense via PM along the lines of 'u r hot bb' 'open my cam bb' 'hru bb?' etc. It got pretty frustrating coming on line to see a long list of names under 'friends' that i didn'rt even recognise and that i knew weren't likely to turn up in my room as they were probably off spamming some other poor model with their nonsense. So i changed the rules on my friends.

Now in order to prove that you are my friend and be added you either have to hang out in my room a lot and contribute towards the overall atmosphere of the room by joining in with the conversation and towards whatever topic i have going when you can afford to (in my opinion friends support each other in any way that they can and that includes supporting my work endeavours by NOT treating me as a free counselling or wanking service), or you can bypass by tipping 100 tokens if you want immediate PM priviledges because ultimately if you are willing to spend the tokens it is likely that you are going to treat it as an investment and come back and actually hang out with me properly and get to know me afterwards - it's a show of good faith on your part and your willingness to actually build a proper friendship with me and as a result cuts out the timewasters.

Since i revised my adding friends policy i no longer log on and find that my friends list is meaningless, and I have a much better crowd of regular and lovely people in my room every time I'm on. So it works brilliantly for me and I wouldn't change it for the world.

BTW I hear what you're sayin' there, but in all fairness, Nerdguy isn't one who just realized it and admitted/stopped it. It took a lot to get through to him that he was being annoying. Remove from friends list, then sends MFC mail. Shut him down there, moves to a PM on the forum. Ignore him there, sends message on Steam. I think there was even a time in another model's public chat room that he was asking me to be added to my PM list.

It was something like that, but at least I finally got the idea, and have also have cut off almost all of my messaging any other models while they're on cam as well only pm'ing if there's just something I want to say not in public, that's kind of emberrassing, could cause drama with other members, etc. I thought I hardly messaged you on steam though, in fact I'll delete you from my friends list on it right now, since I hardly see you on it anyways . Anyways, I kind of fell victim to the "Irc chat room" syndrome, where you could just mindlessly pm people for any reason.

I can see why a model charges tokens to add people to the friends list but i do not like the idea lol Friends should be added to friends lists for no token charges because both parties involved want to be friends. If i have to pay to be on a models friends list (which i don't) that tells me the model is all about making money and doesn't think much about the friendship side. What are others views on this ?

I've been against being charged to be added to a friends list, but when it was explained to me why I decided it was a reasonable request, besides 50 tokens isn't much. I'm sure you'd be added in time if you actually made friends with the model.

I agree. I'm not gonna charge 50 tokens for my friends list anymore. I'm just gonna add people who've become room regulars who participate in conversations, and people who tip me when they can. I had a long list of people who just tipped to be on my friends list so they could bug me with "Hi" and "Mmmm" pm's, and when I browsed my friends list the other day I was like "Who ARE all of these people???"

Someone in public chat even told me to check my MFC Mail, and when I did it was just him saying "I think you're beautiful" or something along those lines. He couldn't just say that when he's IN my chat?

When a person IN your chat or watching as a pm viewer keeps pm-ing "Hi." "How are you?" "What are you up to?" "Where are you from?" it's pretty annoying.
