To revisit the thread, I'll add Adam Hills. Known of him since before he got his break in the UK, and again a nice guy. At a gig I saw of his, he ordered an awful lot of pizza for people at the end of the gig, as well as happily chatting with people. On another occasion, he apparently offered to take the whole audience bowling after the show, in exchange for a charity donation.
He also does show with a sign interpreter on stage for the deaf people, which just adds to the jokes in my view.
