Usually somewhere between flippant and glib.
Yep Douwe Egberts is a winner! I drink mostly instant coffee & always buy the Pure Gold one. I didn't actually realise how good it was until I switched to a different brand and ended up not finishing it.

Anyway other coffee's.... filter coffee Costa is my go to (http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_ ... ter+coffee) but still looking for something a bit more amazing.

I'm more of a Chai Tea kind of gal myself.

I kinda-sorta-maybe started drinking instant coffee due to OHSHC and never really stopped... Any brand, any flavor. But it's gotta be instant. :shifty:

I always have Douwe Egberts and not just because it's the only brand available here :p (I wonder how you guys pronounce douwe egberts  )
I also reeeaally like Lavazza but that is crazy expensive.

Dowuh eg bearz koffee....but only because I pulled up a Douwe Egberts coffee commercial and watched how they pronounced it.
Around 40 seconds in, when they have the words on the screen.

Before that I just said Doo-way egg-berts. :shifty:

Funny you should ask... after commenting on how good the coffee was, I asked what brand it was it but it sounded to me like she was saying something about her head hurts with her thick accent. After a couple more times of futilely trying to figure out what she was saying... I finally asked if she could please write it down and the mystery was solved.

You can hear different pronunciations here: http://www.forvo.com/word/douwe_egberts/

Still, the best coffee I've ever had...but way too expensive in my book. I haven't had it in over 20 years. The memory lingers. :)

Great subject! :thumbleft: I am very lucky to have had many coffee shops and places to buy coffee . I guess I am a Coffee snob/connoisseur. Having lived in the Pacific North West. The home of some of the largest coffee importing and roasting companies. Starbucks,SBC, Tully's ,Pioneer Coffee Roasting Co,Caravelle, StumpTown,Dutch Brothers. Just to name a few. There are many more smaller coffee import/roasting operations also. As a :icon-ugeek: about coffee. I really don't have a brand I prefer. But I certainly prefer the different varieties of beans . Some of my favorites are Sumatran Coffee.Ethiopian Coffee.Papua New Guinea Coffee.Guatemalan Coffee.Kenyan Coffee.Costa Rican Coffee. I tend to prefer the darker roasts and if I am making coffee at home the French press method is the one I like the best. or the Chemex brewing method/ called a "pour over" at StarBucks .

I really love the Kona Coffee that they serve at the Polynesian resort at WDW. Its about $60 a bag, by far the best coffee I have ever tasted. You can order it with food i think its $30.00 for a coffee press of it. I think I may have to get some next time I am there.

I recently bought an espresso machine, after a lifetime of drinking instant coffee, and Wow, it is so much better.

Buying ground coffee is a vast improvement over instant, but grinding my own beans just before I use them to make an espresso, is so much better.

Next I'll start growing them in my back garden, and roasting them myself.

I like my coffee black not into strong tasting coffee.. I've cut my consumption about in half between 6 to 8 cups a day.. I'm still hooked on it trying to keep it under control but it's hard..
