Expatriating from USA

Hello All, I am new here so forgive me if this has already been posted. I have been researching my options for leaving the US. Has anyone cammed/created content while living in Portugal? I know it would be best to consult an immigration attorney about legalities but I am curious how people who made the jump abroad feel now and if there is anything they would do differently to save money or avoid annoying problems that can be avoided. It seems that Portugal has a more progressive stance on porn and SW, but I figure it's worth getting opinions from other SW's.

That depends are you currently in a state that has state income taxes? If you are in CA for example you need to do everything you can to move to some where else in the usa first that doesn't have state income taxes.

Some states that have income tax you can file non resident paperwork and not have to pay taxes but depending on the state that can be a hassle and I don't think any of the do-it-yourself tax sites can handle that.

Why did you pick Portugal? Just curious.
