I think the reason behind them cutting off the clitoris is so the woman doesn't enjoy sex and therefore is less likely to mess around on the husband. I watched a documentary on this very thing many years ago....it was interesting.

It's a funny video, but don't kid yourself about Uganda. A lot of the African anti-gay movement is being financed by American right-wing Evangelicals who can't get their way here. Only this spring, Uganda's parliament was still seriously considering to a bill that would impose the death penalty for people committing homosexual acts. It has been shelved for now, after tremendous international outcry, but it is not yet completely dead. An online petition managed to attract a million and a half signatures protesting it.
