My theory is that some girls are worried about looking stupid in their photos, so oftentimes they will intentionally make a silly face instead. And finally they've settled on duckface because it's close to a kissyface (hard to get just right) but tweaked just enough so that if it looks goofy, that's fine. They totally meant to look like an idiot, you dummy.

Not referring to you. I meant that it could be their opinion of anyone who might wonder about the motivation behind their questionable pose. They're being goofy and playful and looking like doofs on purpose to avoid looking like doofs by accident. At least, that's the only reason I can imagine, because they can't seriously believe it looks good. Right? I hope?

I have to wonder that actually.... sooo many girls do it now when they are actually trying to be sexy that it seems to have morphed from the camp or dooofus to main stream 'I'm too sexy' look. I can find dozens of camgirls 'whackin it' that do it while looking at the cam gettin' off... That in itself was the basis for my initial inquiry... :dontknow:
