This is going to rule! I haven't been this excited to see a movie in a long time.

I live ina small ass town with no movie theatre and the closest theatre is 2.5 hours away.
with that said, I am thinking about making a little out of town trip to see this movie.

I'm glad the Sylvester Stallone abortion of a previous film didn't kill the franchise entirely, I will remain very cautiously hopeful.

So far everyone who has seen it says it's alot closer to the comic book. Unlike that HORRIBLE first one. I don't even consider it a movie. I'm a huge Dredd fan. I actually have a Judge Badge tattooed on me!

Is there any franchise that isn't getting rebooted? lol, I'm interested in seeing if they did something cool with it. I mean, Why would they bother unless they had something really kick-ass up their sleeve?

I wouldn't call this a "franchise reboot". The first movie was a total disaster from day one. Everyone involved in the Stallone movie knew it would be a bomb. "But I do look back on Judge Dredd as a real missed opportunity. It seemed that lots of fans had a problem with Dredd removing his helmet, because he never does in the comic books. But for me it is more about wasting such great potential there was in that idea; just think of all the opportunities there were to do interesting stuff with the Cursed Earth scenes. It didn't live up to what it could have been."......I will be pissed if this isn't on the soundtrack.

I saw it today, and thought it was way better than the last one. The rookie is cute too, so that did not hurt anything.

WOW. I was blown away! Easily one of the best 3D movies i have ever seen. Brutal and beautiful. I'll be going back several times.
