I played through the last two DLCs, The Descent and Trespasser this weekend.

Both are incredibly short. Maybe 8 hours between them both? I normally don't mind paying for content, but when I consider Jaws, Descent and Trespasser took a small fraction of the time I took in the original game, yet cost 75% of the original price, I'm a little irked. Then again I can think of it from the opposite side, there was so much gameplay in the original that you could think it over-delivered for the price.

That said, Trespasser at least resolves the cliffhanger at the end of the original game (sort of). Story/lore nerds will probably love Trespasser the most of the three content DLCs. Personally, I think Jaws was the best of the three, and I enjoyed Descent as short as it was. I'm ambivalent about Trespasser mostly because it's so short and because the cliffhanger resolution was mostly telegraphed from the original game.

They yet again deliver on crazy beautiful zones to poke around in. Trespasser ends with a sequence where you're just running though some ruins in a bit of a race and I kept wanting to stop and poke around and just check it all out. There is another zone in Trespasser that has a large castle/temple type thing in the center of a lake in a valley that I just stood gawking at for a while. I don't want to spoil Descent's ending so I won't mention much, but I found myself wanting to spend some time looking around the last zone in that one too.

So I guess the wait beings for DA4!

Thanks for the info, I just finally beat the game I had tucked it away for a while and forgot about it. Not sure if I should attempt a nightmare playthrough now might just wait a while.... About the DLCS yeah they are on the pricey side, maybe I will get around to it one day.

I wanna go for Solas next I think lol, just to see what that's like. The ending was such a big shock for me like, I literally just ignored him the entire game. Even talking to him, after he yelled at me for siding with the templars. And then ?? the cutscene?? what ?? and now after the DLC I just wanna slap him back into reality lol he's becoming so frustrating

Anyways, I was honestly disappointed with this game. I loved it, don't get me wrong, the storyline was great and it had amazing graphics and the characters were very well written. But the amount of grinding I had to do to get get through was so unreal. Maybe I'm placing Origins on too high of a bar for them to meet but they really did an amazing job on it and none of the sequels have lived up to it yet imo. If the quests were more like.. I dunno, creative? immersing? then I would not mind the grinding at all. Like, in Origins they had an entire hours worth of gameplay where you could turn into a golem or rat, or join the Crows, or things of that sort. But there was just SO MUCH of it and I feel like they were trying to combine it with Skyrim in a lot of ways but it just got so dull after the like. Fourtieth hour. I love the war table and armor crafting, super good job. I did not like that my party members didn't level up with me :/ Which, I get that it makes it more realistic or whatever but sometimes I would be ready to get on with the storyline and have the power points but have to do ten more quests because every other party member is still a level thirteen  This turned out a lot longer and angrier than I intended lol but those were most of my grievances with it but while I was a bit disappointed and wish they had included the DLC in the main game since it's a continuation of the main plot, it was still super good

one must romance the lesbian elf at least once. she is a hoot and my favorite character.
Sera is great. My inquisitor has had so much fun with her. :)

I'm playing this through for the first time, finally, and it's so much fun! I'd never played a Dragon Age game before and the first little bit didn't hook me. True to what everyone told me, once I got out of the Hinterlands and got a better feel for the mechanics of the game I've been enjoying it a lot more. I've got all the companions now and have been generally rolling with Iron Bull, Dorian (my fire mage!), and either Cassandra or Blackwall. I'm really glad to be playing it after all of the hype, and to be enjoying it as much as I thought I would.

I'm a rogue, and I romanced Cullen! We just boned for the first time, I'm so happy. :D next time I want to romance Solas I think. But beautiful army man is good too, haha
