As you may or may not already know, Im a huge fan of scary urban legends. Unfortunately, nobody that I know IRL is interested in the subject. Do you know of any models who like to chat about urban legends or potentialy be interested in doing so? Here are some examples of the urban legends that I like to read about. http://www.scaryforkids.com/roommates/

Oh man I am such a scaredy cat but I love reading those kind of stories. I don't know enough about them to discuss them in a chat room unfortunately or I'd invite you by for some discussion.

Oh oh I do! I fucking love urban legends. I also talk about horror and geeky shit constantly. Feel free to pop in.

Have you read Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark?
It sounds familiar but I may have read them when I was in my teens, if they're what I think they are. My old lady memory fails me. :)

I loooved scary stories to tell in the dark-the artwork terrified me. I heard they may be adapting it into a movie or show or something like that.

I love scary stories, urban legends, cryptozoology etc.

thank you for posting these links, i am totally reading these tonight, i love this stuff

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark was my jam as a kid but my goodness did those illustrations give me nightmares! The stories are fairly tame but those pictures are straight up cursed.

There are some really neat podcasts that I freaking LOVE that deal with urban legends and the darker, creepier moments of history. "Lore" probably deals with more urban legends/folklore than the others (and it's my fave), though "Unexplained" is really cool tool (my close-second fave). If any of y'all like creepy stories, you might dig them! Since almost all of the stories are based on real-life events, it makes them all even creeeepier.

Not quite the same thing I guess but I love Unsolved Mysteries. Goosebumps was the shit too when I was younger.

Start up a legitimate thread about it. :)

Yeah, you should create an Urban Legend thread in random if you feel like it @Guy. Would be fun to read some stories.

I always loved the one about the clown statue!

Unsolved Mysteries used to scare the shit outta me. Especially the episode where someone woke up to find an alien at the foot of their bed. Omg...
