Maybe I am reading too much into it but it sounds like when you are given money for sex that you might be breaking a law of some sort. Needless to say I am no expert
Yes but that's a separate issue and doesn't have anything to do with what we're talking about.

We're talking about the site deciding a model doesn't make enough money for them and closes the model account due to poor earnings.

I still have no idea why you quoted me, because this sentiment is in no way, shape or form related to my post you quoted.

I do not have the time or energy to get into this, so I’ll put it simply:

Camming is legal in most countries.
Camming is not “paying for sex”. You pay for sexual based services, but obviously not irl sex.
Paying for sex in real life is prostitution.
Prostitution is illegal in most regions.
Even though both camming and prostitution fall under the sex work umbrella, they are not the same thing.

Selling access to your social media accounts isn’t against CB’s TOS and seems to be even encouraged.

He didn't say anything about offsite payments, so I don’t see why he would be banned or suspended?
Again, as a member (and with our recent chat on moderators still in my mind), I find it astonishing that some sites seem to penalise models for suggestions that members make unsolicited. I mean, unless I'm reading this wrong, the model didn't initiate any of this conversation so in my mind shouldn't be held responsible for any of it.

I'm not the only one thinking that he probably has neither 300 tokens not a fat cock, right?

In my experience, 90% of guys who are adamant about you seeing their dick (which is presumably why he wanted to be added on Snapchat) do not have a dick that you would ever want to see. That percentage goes up more when they brag about it.

I also don’t think models should be held responsible for most of the TOS breaking stuff members initiate (like asking to pay offsite, but excluding talk of minors because ew) if they do not positively respond or just ignore it.

But, I think in the site’s eyes, anything short of banning and reporting can be seen as the model “allowing” it and they want to cover all their bases. So, just for a model’s own security, I think it’s best to ban and report any member who does say/initiate something that is breaking the site’s rules. No member is worth losing your account over.

It's ludicrous. It puts models under incredible pressure to constantly be scanning the chat for anything that might be remotely dubious. Missing a comment or failing to shut down a comment shouldn't be viewed as the model being complicit. I can't think of any other business where that would be considered to be the case.

Oh yeah, I totally get that and I think there should be some nuance. Like, there’s ways to prevent a lot of it (mostly by banning words related to TOS breaking rules), but if a model has hundreds of users in their room talking and chatting, it’s understandable that some messages may fall through the cracks and that should absolutely be taken into account.

However, if it’s a slow room with only one or two people chatting and someone comes in sending messages asking for something that is against the rules and a model doesn’t take any action I do see why a site would see that as condoning that behavior and penalize the model. It does absolutely suck if the model is totally above the board and gets in trouble, but I understand why a site would take action, especially considering the current political/social/legal climate surrounding online sex work.

Got me thinking about the casting I did in Japan which are now shutdown Lots of fun though exhausting due to be the only foreigner on the site . Not a single complaint even factoring in my crappy Japanese . The two sites in west I tried were not worth the grief. If it stops being fun I do not stick around

None of us are given money for sex. What are you talking about? This is a forum for cam models, who work online???? This is perfectly legal. Having a sexual themed show with someone online is not the same thing as having sex 🤦‍♀️

Your completely off-topic posts are unnecessary. Sorry but I'm limited your ability to post in order to keep threads better organized.

I have to say, in a busy room, it's easy to miss a comment with all of the entry/exit notifications. And I'm saying that as a moderator who isn't trying to perform/dance/spit on my tits at the same time as reading and operating a keyboard.

Ok but did you grow up the way we did? Online in chat rooms and in forums where thousands of lines of text would fly by and can be parsed in an instant for bad words? If you're spending the time reading the entirety of the message instead of looking for keywords, you're doing it wrong. :)

You don't expect my eyes to work properly after years on cam sites, do you?

Can you switch that off?
On cb is anonying fanclub member XXX enters the room, few seconds later fanclub member XXX left the room x 100 times.
The same for mods enter/leaves. :rage:

I thought there were banned word lists and bots too? I was under the impression the expectation is to utilize tools to do this, not depend on humans / human error? Did I get this wrong? So that in busy rooms things don't get missed? Yes, I agree it's ridiculous to think a model in a busy room could manage it all perfectly on their own. But at the same time I thought that's what all these tools etc were to help with, and then of course mods if the model trusts or wants one or several.

You are correct. :) It depends on how well the list is built.

Like mine has every synonym for kid blocked but they are clever at times and use spaces or whatever to push a word through only to be met with a ban.

The mod sees everyone come and go so it gets quite busy in the chat at times. Dare I say that CB would benefit from a separate tab for all that stuff.

Maybe it’s just because I am very tired right now, but I have no idea what you’re talking about.

That’s how I feel every time I read one of his posts…

You can turn that off you know
It's actually been performing a second function recently. As the performance issues of CB continue to stack up, sometimes the stream buffers or freezes. If I can see lots of members repeatedly exiting and entering again in quick succession then it helps me identify that it's not unique to my connection and that something is going on that I need to make the model aware of. CB has been a nightmare at times recently.

I've had a pixelation problem a couple of times this week and only one fucking person said anything. LOL

It's incredible that nobody mentions it. I think everyone initially assumes they are the only one experiencing the issue so just refresh and refresh instead.

On the cbhours eye contact tool it's like that but that would only work for the model since it uses event API not the moderator. Haven't received any complaints about it so I assume it still works.

Edit: er well separate column

Or assume the model is too stupid to set up correctly and they just bounce. But a quick refresh solved it on my end.

Having that set to notify on all users entering also degrades your connection and slows things down as far as trying to do anything else other than actual chat in the chat room, (PMs, clicking on user names, silencing, etc...). At times it also delays your chat comments from posting
