Was moderating for a model on one of her broadcasts later realised why there were no tokens being updated to the stream or why no one seemed to be communicating on the platform, i later refreshed the page to find alot more activity. So were exactly are mods input before this seems like mods are on a page of there own before refreshing the page . Yeah didnt know that

I'm not sure I understand the problem. Please explain in better detail.
When a model grants moderator privelleges are you limited to a single channel of communication that only the moderator seems to be viewing. Im guessing refreshing the page activates moderators privelleges in the public chat?

I didnt refresh the page for a while but could see more viewers entering the room but not much happening, i later regreshed the page and found there was activity

Im guessing that is typical of cb ui ?

No, the only thing that changes for moderators versus a regular viewer in chat is that you can silence people and see who is entering/leaving the room and you can PM users and the model any time you need to. Everything else remains the same chat wise.

There are occasional glitches where chat lags or the page refreshes on its own but if there's no one chatting and no one tipping then there's no one chatting and no one tipping.

No worries must been a glitch or a feature were no chat, or information comes through at all other than the room volume at the top of the screen , refreshing the page seems to fix it.

It effectively means you cant moderate if not aware of that . Know the next time wondered why the room was so quiet

I mean there are rooms where no one talks or tips for long periods of time, don't discount this. Especially if only the moderator and model are in the room. Moderators are kind of annoying and most people don't want to be in a room with a moderator. You can't moderate if there is nothing to moderate.

There's some scenarios that can occur where you aren't in the same chat as everyone else. I don't know if it still happens but for example years ago if you stayed in a models room long enough and they went offline for hours and you kept the room open on your computer you would be in your own chat with whoever else kept it open that long and couldn't see what was happening in the real live chat.

Probably an unrelated glitch with that particular room chat being displayed, as suggested above.
Has happened to me a few times the last couple of days, a refresh sorts it out.
If the model makes you a moderator during the broadcast, reloading your browser window updates your username to red.
You can change the settings for notifications on users entering/leaving the room, just like models can. Personally I'd leave it off, it really shouldn't matter to a moderator who joins or leaves.
Best advice I could suggest is to just ask the model what their expectations are of you when you're colored red. They may not expect or want you to do anything at all, but always best to ask not assume.

I mean that still happens but that's not what he's talking about.

Yep I recall that could also happen if you had 2 or more windows open, and logged out of one of them.
I can shut my camera off, leave the room open and whoever is still in there can stay until they decide to close it. It's the main reason cammers started "end of show" screens -- keeping the room open while not being on cam but still having a visual to attract new people. They'd sit and chat until everyone got bored and left. There are days where I open my room and there's a grey still hanging out from the night before. It's creepy.
