Hey there,
I´m encountering following problem for 2 weeks now. Support ticket was closed with statement "thanks, we investigate this issue with our technical team, please be patient", so this post is more about a go-around solution if someone already knows how to solve this problem by my own.
I got for whatever reason the orange dot in the upper right corner under direct messages, indicating unread messages without having unread messages. Upon opening it, shows Direct messages (4), but i do not have any. If i get a new message, it says (5), upon reading it, it goes back to (4). I have not ignored users, nor I see the 4 unread messages. It is not a big deal but very annoying, always seeing aorange dot. I never know if there is a new message coming up or not. I had this problem 4 weeks ago, it solved by itself after 2 days, but now its 2 weeks. Maybe some of you have a solution for this and also encountered this problem. I tried cache, browser history, browser itself, log in - log out, open the direct messages in a new window, click all chats a second time and scroll through chat history.
Thanks for any help.
