Chaturbate support answer:

Thank you for your report. We appreciate your concern and we will take appropriate action. You did the right thing, immediately disengaging with any users discussing minors. Please let us know if you have any additional details to share in the meantime.
Thank you,
The Chaturbate Team
Done!

As someone who has always had a very very social room with regulars who all know each other for a decade via my community, it pains me that even random mention of our earlier lives could get us or our membrs in trouble. (Note: conversation in my room was very rarely sexual in the first place.) But I can see why it's important to jump on it immediately and remove members discussing such from the room, especially on a site that is ban-happy and/or has AI bots to auto-ban on words.

Looking over my time on streams, I absolutely 100% discussed things about my life with my members very casually and never thought much of it. It's scary to realize that it could have caused issue if I was on another site or if the moderation at MFC had been that intense to flag it.
I feel that so hard. I remember when I first started on CB and the wild, crazy childhood memories we shared with each other. It bonded us as a group and really had a community vibe to it. I miss it. It allowed me to shine because my room isn't very sexual in nature but I could connect and people felt heard. Even if it was a silly story about falling out of a tree when they were 10 and that's why they have a scar above their knee. Stuff like that.

Absolutely! I have to conduct myself so much differently there now.

Exactly. I feel the same way. It's sad because this was never an issue (or concern) for me ten years ago when I'd have conversations with MFC members about favorite cartoons/T.V. shows from the 80s. 🤷‍♀️ We could talk about stuff like that and favorite cereals, etc. growing up, without having to walk on eggshells or worry about some AI flagging words.

It's bonkers, and it's sad that it's not as a result of models or members being any weirder or more nefarious than they ever were. Instead it's as a result of the spread of automation where bots identify "banned" words and ban people. The entire selling point of cam sites over regular porn is the human interaction and a critical part of that is discussing our lives, both past and future. Seems insane to me.

Unfortunately that is not the root of the problem, it's Congress.

No it is not necessarily Congress, it is the MAGA republican/christian fascists Qanon "gotta save the children" morons.

The reply she got from CB makes me wonder how she phrased the question to support about it because he was clearly speaking about his past and not about any "minor". He didn't say he had his 13 year old son sitting beside him watching the show..lol So it seems as long as they leave out the numeral age it would be ok... like .. A few years back I went here and did this.... CB has lost its fucking brain cells.

"I went to an Ozzy concert in 1989." is vastly different than "I was a minor at an Ozzy concert in 1989." Which is effectively what that sentence communicates when phrased as "I saw Ozzy when I was 13."

If you pushed back this hard on me in my room about this subject I would permanently ban you and come here to complain about the moron who doesn't understand that rules are rules and you aren't worth losing my income over. Of course, you're going to turn around and say that you'll find a model who isn't as uptight about it as I am and I'll remind you that she probably has a support system that I don't (aka a family she can fall back on if she needs money or other resources). I'm following the rules to the letter and I don't care how much it jostles your jimmies.

I guess you did not read my previous post but yeah I get it from the models perspective. I am just blown away an adult site would see that as "talking about a minor" in the context is all. It is a total lack of any common sense.

He was talking about himself as a minor. Why does that not compute that that is not okay by today's laws?

Some of you have to understand (and I think a lot of people in this thread are missing this fact) that a lot of pedophiles and age play people do go to these sites too. If you are not someone who's been a high volume, high sales model for a while (or at some point in time), sure this all makes no sense to you. However, this is exactly how a guy who did want to talk about underage stuff would open the conversation too.

I think a lot of the non-models in this thread are missing that nuance (?)

When age play and Pedos come to our rooms, they don't just blatantly start talking about it (or at least very few do). Most test the waters and introduce the topic slowly. Some models have likened it to grooming, and I see why.

This is the kind of thing busier, and more experienced models know, and everyone else just doesn't get.
But that's how it is.

Because by that logic we would all be guilty as part of the conversation in this thread shows. Basically doing simple math, the man is 47 years old now and speaking of his own childhood. I just did not understand that interpretation.

As I said I get it from a model's perspective. Do what you need to do.

No, you don't get it at all. Maybe you aren't supposed to get it. IDK. I don't understand how you don't realize that "ZERO TOLERANCE" means zero tolerance and maybe I'm not supposed to get that. Whatever. You do you. Get that girl banned because you wanna be that guy who says "oh that's so stupid, rules are meant to be broken."

No, I do not think "rules are meant to be broken" on a cam site. I used to frequent CB often but now am only on that site when I moderate for 2 different models there. I also am a knight on SC for them and a few others.

When I was a model guys were a little more blatant about it I guess. Wanting to be daddy's little boy etc.
Guys coming into a models room and calling her mommy and then in PM ask the model if he can be her little boy
Guys coming in the room and saying "I am 16 is that ok if I am here" type things but the grooming sounds diabolical.

and of course i asked if its "speaking about minors" and if it was right to ban him. But i just copied and paste to them exactly word by word what he wrote in chat room ,to be 10000000% clear

I hadn't really considered the idea that guys might introduce age play slowly. Most of the other guys I see with more "mainstream" fetishes introduce then like applying a blunt instrument to the head. Sometimes without even bothering to say hello. But I can definitely understand the caution around this.

I do feel a bit sad though that you can't have a discussion about your childhood with a model simply because the filtering system is too automated and draconian and context isn't considered. It's a terrible loss of connection, which I'm sure also hits models in their pocket because building connection on these pages also builds income.

Having to avoid talking about things like that because of the existence of paedo role-players is just a sign of the times I guess. It's a little tragic how humans have evolved online.

I guess a lot of them know they are breaking the rules.. it's the same with feces and pee, you get these requests in private messages WAY more than in the public chat, and some people even try to go slowly into it..

A good example of this is I know someone got asked if she squirted, that lead into if squirt wasn't just pee? and then if she would just pee for him while masturbating... so some are very much going slower into their fetishes when it's against the rules

There's one guy who buys tokens and doesn't tip them because CB doesn't allow peeing and the dumbfuckery of it boggles my mind. Why you gonna give a site money, not use the credits and then bitch at a model for not breaking the rules?

I can squirt, I hate doing it, it is painful for me and if done incorrectly gets flagged as peeing. I'm not touching that with a 10 foot pole.

that makes absolutely NO fucking sense at all!! I'm surprised these people aren't insta banned for requesting the things even when we see some of the other bans that hit

and yea I can understand that! we're going back to the "you have to be comfortable in your own room" thing again :D

He made some offhanded comment about not understanding guys who tip large and then leave without getting a show. I said something about some people don't need a reason to be generous. He shot back at me that I hurt his feelings and the smile on my face said it all. He bounced, haven't seen him since.

Wooow, yea that makes no sense to me... if it's not on a girls tip menu, you can politely ask for if it's something she's up for in privates.. I would never tip and EXPECT something out of the ordinary.. so this guy makes no sense to me - sorry if he tipped and you lost a tipper, but it does sound like a bullet dodged.

About pedophiles. What i heard (shit, is so disgusting even talking about it) is that even if the guy had innocent intentions and he was only wanted talk about his childhood, by writing about himself 13 years old ,ca n make potential pedophiles turned on . Its not only about what he is sayhing but what others can think. Saying by anyone "13 yhears old" can make silent pedophiles "active" with thinking about it.

I don’t think it’s anything that nuanced or complex (though you might be right, I don’t think that’s what the sites are thinking) I think it’s just the sites have to be VERY careful with payment processors these days and they would rather use a wide net. Context has too many grey areas, and they’re also relying on bots and such to find key words and bots can’t handle much context either.

Exactly. I've worked on a site which is heavy on guys trying to do age play for years, and that is exactly how it happens. You have to be really careful.
It's gotten better since the new regulations (well Nov 2021 regulations) but before that SM was a total cess pit of age players and race players, just lingering around the site constantly pressuring models. Since the new rules, and models enforcing them it's gotten a lot less, but there are still a large number of them around.

It's nice not to have to deal with that constantly all night anymore. Or to have to find out the hard way that your most recent whale is just dropping large amounts to get you hooked, so that you'll eventually bend rules and do a forbidden show, once you see he's got a lot of money. Many of them think that will influence models, and maybe it does some, but not here.

I am and have been a high volume privates model though, so I have gotten into all this way more, and have a ton of experience having to deal with it.
I'm not a token site model.

Draw back of doing a lot of one on ones, you see that a lot.
I still prefer them though, especially now I've been around and seen the usual patterns etc, so that it's easier to identify who's who, faster.
