I saw this on Snopes the other day. Since it's so blurry, they said they think it's likely a dog that was jumping in and out of the water, leaving a trail of water on the platform, and darkening the deck's wood.
I don't know what I believe for sure, but it does seem odd that somebody would dispose of a body in broad daylight in an open area. :twocents-02cents:

The trail leads to grass and sand that may well be wet but do not look red with blood. I'm pretty sure it's not murder.
