If you get into a debate with a member/camgirl, does it change your opinion on them? Do you no longer welcome them in your room? Or if you're a member, do you no longer visit there room? How heated does the debate have to be to have that happen?
Do you ever feel like debates can hurt your online model/customer relationship?
Or can the reverse happen, can you debate with a model/member and get turned on by their strong opinions and intelligence and like them even more?

I use to be with a different cam site that had a forum. I am very strongly opinionated and usually have the minority opinion. I can debate with a person and as long as they do not insult me or indirectly insult me, it affects nothing. For me, at least. I do think it hurt me a little bit because guys have such big egos, that when they lose a debate, it puts them off. But there was one guy that I use to get in super heated debates with and his intelligence turned me on. He would still come in my room and tipped. It was cool to see that he was like me. I don't take things personally, unless they are personal.

I totally feel ya on this one!! On my previous account MyPrettyKitty, I got into discussing politics a lot. But I found that it's better for "business" if I don't bring the subject up. Politics and religion are the too subjects that get the most heated. And yeah, in my experience it's best not to jump right into debates while camming. If you get a feel for the room, or it's a premium thats a regular who you know well enough, I'm sure it won't hurt you. A lot guys do come to MFC to get their ego stroked, as well as chatting with beautiful ladies, and jerking LOL. You just have to find your "happy medium".
I remember that I used to have a American flag hanging on my wall that you could see verry clearly in the back ground while I was on cam. But I had it hanging up side down, which is *not* the same thing as hanging a cross up side down. It's a distress signal. Most members who where military knew this, but sooooo many other members thought it was a sign of disrespect, and I got cussed out 4 it many times. I Finally had to put this on my profile:
americanflag.gif

I had quite a few people ask me about the upside down American Flag hanging on my bedroom door. Some even getting mad and calling me un-American.
The upside down U.S. flag is an official signal of distress. It is not meant to be, and is not officially recognized as any type of disrespect when so displayed for the right reasons.
Most individuals who have served in the military service of our nation will (or should) recognize this signal. As a result of the many traitors and enemies we as a free people have, both foreign and domestic, as a result of the many unconstitutional acts, legislation and atrocities passed and/or committed against US citizens and their life, liberty and property, I believe the life, liberty and property of US Citizens are in dire danger and distress.

Oh I love a good debate and a intelligent woman does turn me on. Every guy can be different so some will leave, some will stay, ect. I guess a big part of it is get the feel for the room and how you act will make up how your regulars will be. I think the biggest thing is to keep an eye on your room if your just debating with one person that is going to make the other people feel left out and they will move on. No reason you can't add that member to your friends list and have the debate in private. If you get the whole room going in on the debate be careful because you might not be getting a lot of tips and that can lower ur camscore.

It's your room and if you want people in there that respect you for your intelligence and can carry on a good debate I would just say set some ground rules, and you can always bring a stop to it.

I love to mass debate...

*snickers*

Discussing a subject can be awesome, if interesting - but I wouldn't be involved if it wasn't, so it always is :D
When can it get heated? When you're not discussing a subject and they're just slinging insults for having a different opinion.
THEN I would think negatively of the model/member and not return ;)

It is possible to have a lot of passion and heat regarding your subject, and yet still debate effectively. Just most people resort to insults when challenged to actually think/back things up.
I get the impression a lot want try to make people admit their opinion is "right" - which is where issues arise I guess.

I enjoy getting into debates and conversations because it shows that the model has more to offer than just exterior features. After seeing the same boobs, ass and pussy over and over the model can become boring unless she has a brain to go along with those assets.

As for disliking/ignoring a model over a debate, I'd say it depends on the model's attitude. If she can accept my viewpoints on a topic and respect me as a person no matter how differing my opinions are to hers then that's fine. However if she goes off like a spoiled brat, acting like she's superior or whiny because I disagree with her, then I won't visit her room no matter how physically beautiful she is.

    Well said :handgestures-salute:

Debates can be fun and stimulating. As long as its not politics or religion. These are fun to watch tho but not get in the middle of, sooner or later they turn into something terrible.

I have never left a room or not gone back to a room because of a debate. I have done both because the model was letting stupid fall out their mouth way too much. But this is no different than if they did nothing but complain, whine or beg. For me, I am turned on by a woman's brain as much as I am by their body and I don't care how beautiful and sexy they are, if everything they say is Herp-a-derp I can't handle it, least not for long. :twocents-02cents:

As long as things don't devolve into name calling, vitriol spewing inanity, I don't care how heated or passionate a debate becomes. I respect that everyone has differing opoinions. And have more respect for those that can express said opinions in an intelligent and non-judgemental manner.

I would never stop going to a models room solely for a difference of opinion that resulted in an HONEST heated debate. Nastiness, condescension, closed-mindedness and dismissiveness on the other hand would be a different story.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you were referring to debates on forums such as this and not debates inside of your chatroom. I don't particularly care for heated debates while a model is on cam. That would tend to alienate a good portion of the audience. For that I might leave and come back at another time.

Forums such as this I would welcome debate and instead of turning me off of a model, with valid intelligent points it would more likely intrigue me enough to want to check out a models room that I have not previously visited.

You are correct. However, it does bother me when people publicly (OUTSIDE) display Old Glory upside down on a flag pole for political reasons. In the privacy of your own home or on websites... no problem here. It was meant to be akin to a 911 call before other forms of communication were available. :twocents-02cents:

To me its all about respectfullness.

If someone comes across disrepsectful while debating their opinions with me, I will no longer wish to spend time around them.
If they can be respectful, it has no bearing on our relationship.

The catches: If you think you should be allowed to fuck animals or children. That kinda thing. I probly won't come around no more...

Some of my best regs are people who I've had heated debates with. Usually about the Federal Reserve/bailouts or the Philadelphia Flyers. Not very sexy topics but people can sure get emotional.

ANd I think some guys have an apology fetish. It goes like this: They're rude, I ban, they beg to come back, I lecture them more and tell them to go away, then they sign up with a new name and apologize and start doing lots of privates with me.
