Creating sex toy patterns on a timeline / general pattern questions

One musical project of mine is making an electronic track that is designed to be perfectly synchronized to sex toys. For this I have to find out a few things:

• How much variation inside the pattern is good?
• When does it get too much variation and a steady vibration would be better?
• Are pauses inside the pattern ok?
• I would need a way to create patterns on a timeline based software. I've tried Lovense media player and there you can only "record" hte pattern in realtime. It is displayed on a timeline but the SW doesn't let you use the mouse to draw the curves. It should also be possible to zoom into the display to get a real precise way to place the "events"
  • I've sent a request to lovense but didn't hear anything yet.
  • I've looked into https://buttplug.io/ but that's a world of its own as I'm not a coder.
  • If there was an interested coder here there would be a super easy (AFAIK) way to integrate it as a plugin for Cockos Reaper

    • I highly recommend this software for professional audio editing. It's free but very extensive and professional.

I'm pretty sure you can sync music on the Lovense app, as well as recording your own patterns, save them and make them available for everyone in the app. Maybe you could do a specific playlist that is meant to use in sync with the app? Adding a pattern to the public pattern library in the app that links to your playlist? Just for starters ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The app does need lots of updates in their UI in my opinion, hopefully one day they get something like you have in mind available.
As for your questions, for clitoral stimulation toys I prefer no pauses, and steady vibrations are my go to, but a bit of variation could be fun. Can't talk for the male toys though!

You can already sync music to Lovense toys, I haven't really messed with it much yet so I can't really say how well it works but it's already a thing. They also have a mode that uses the microphone so the toy will create vibrations based on any sound (I think it would be fun to try this with voice) so the basic idea of what you're talking about already exists. Creating music specifically for this though is a really cool idea.

Thanks so much everyone for the replies. I've already looked into the Sync to sound option and it seems to be interesting but not really what I'm looking for. I would need to be able to handle the timed elements of the pattern just as I handle the elements of the audio project like drums or melody where you can place "events", notes or triggers on a timeline. Example: You have a voice saying or singing something and as there is a certain word the toy is reacting. Or you have a sound with its high frequencies filtered so that it sounds as if its coming from the room next door. And as soon as you "open the filter" i.e. open the door to the room, the toy does something.

All in all the project would be about "syncing the music to sextoys" and not the reverse.

I know its kind of personal so I'd understand if not. Sooner or later I guess I will have to make a private with a model to discuss these things in detail. But even then, the more information I have before that the better. Would help me to ask the right questions. Maybe I have to even buy a lovense. But before I know if the project makes sense at all I'm not able to invest a lot of money into it. So any information about pattern preferences is highly appreciated.

Does stronger vibration mean faster or deeper or both? Faster obviously meaning frequency, deeper = amplitude (you could say displacement)

Yeah what you're describing sounds a lot more sophisticated and I hope you can figure out how to do it, it sounds really neat.

Stronger just means the motor spins faster and makes the vibrations harder and more intense. Depth can be literal thrusting though with toys like nora and I know that the max has like a suction type thing as well, but I don't know how sophisticated either of those are. Both the lush and hush have similar motors though if you end up getting one for yourself and want to test, that way you'd also have a usable toy for yourself.

This would be interesting! I imagine it not really sync with the voice frequency but a pre-made pattern that goes along with the story, like it increases the intensity as you approach the climax in the story or something like that.

I think reaching out to Lovense about this would be a good idea, they're decently responsive and receptive to new ideas and they're always coming out with new random shit for their browser extension so they'd probably eat this up and come up with a way to edit patterns that sync to specific audio files, instead of just reacting to them.

Yes, I did that already but it's a good idea to do it again. In post #2 of this thread I pasted their response. Apparently they forwarded my request to the developer team, which doesn't mean a lot I guess.

What would help me would be a chat with a software developer who is open to these kinds of things. I have all the information a coder would need to make a tool for that, as in protocols needed to make the software "talk" to the toy.

hey couple things so i believe your looking for audio spectrum analysis device its a dual graph mesurement in hrz one axis mesures pitch(frequendy) the other amplitude(magnatude) which gives frequency which also happens to be one of the units used to mesure vibration now mapping one to the other should be a matter of picking your high low for pitch and have them match them up but either either way from what i understand you want to do ls possible to a degree but now with the level of percision you want as toys themselves only understanr interger imputs on a scale of 0-10 that said for books and the like i coild probally nvidoas audio to face ai model to onstead of mapping facial movement map it to POST calls. as to the protocols already have a lovense developer account and making apps so if you want to chat about it shoot me a dm

Have you looked into funscript?
You can use a funscript editor to sync toys to media, like video files.
And people can use a funscript player to play back the media with their toy in sync.

Mostly people use it to sync toys to porn, but there is no reason you couldn't use it for other kind of content like music.

It doesn't require any programing knowledge.
If you want to learn more, there is a erosscript forum dedicated to funscripts.
One of the funscript players, MultiFUnPlayer, works with over 250+ toys.
