I really dislike people who don't trust banks and refuse to own a credit card. I know those are separate things, but both equally infuriating.

Still, I can't imagine that the creditors are offering rewards that mean taking a loss from their end.

I do not pay any interest at all, because I pay off my card in full every month. The bank makes money off of the stores paying them fees for me using the credit card. The store of course passes those fees onto all of their customers hidden in the price of what people buy, including you who ever use a credit card.

YES!!!!
I have a Chase Amazon card that i use for everything. Nine other cards too, but that one gives the best rewards. I pay my rent, gas, books with it. Hell, I pay for $1 soda with it. Everything I can. About twice a year, maybe up to nine months, I have enough reward points on it to make a bigger purchase. I've bought an acer notebook completely on points. A $115 calculator on points... Several items.
And since I pay it completely off every month (twice a month actually so i'll never forget) I've never actually been charged any interest. They've gotten nothing off me.

Went through my Amazon order history. This list all had $0.00 on the purchase orders. Completely paid for by the cards rewards.
