Cosplay Conventions

I'm a big nerdy mcNerdface at heart and I want to go to a cosplay convention and then maybe grow a pair of balls to actually start cosplaying. I'm getting pretty good at theatrical makeup. Who here has been to a cosplay convention? Which one did you go to? Did you dress up? PICS PLEASE! Did you go with anybody? What did you do there?

Ive gone to butt loads of em, and cosplayed frequently... unfortunately I cant post any pictures because they are easily traceable, or even say who since I turn up very early in all of the google searches for any of them. I usually went with friends or with my family (one of em we turned into a weird little family vacation), I usually just walked around in costume, photo whored myself, then tried to find as many crazy parties at night as I could. Also made a semi-habit of crashing green room parties. I enjoyed it while I was into anime and cosplaying, went to a few after I stopped, still enjoyed it mostly just because I still had friends there - but eventually the cons outweighed the pros, and I stopped going to them.

May I just say that voice actors are all douches. Well... 90% of them.
