I've noticed that rules on chaturbate are becoming harder and harder every day. I've seen girls being banned for Twitch-like streaming (Lana Rain getting banned just for playing Overwatch etc. and many others). And now I see a girl in the top who do this every day and gets nothing. So where is the truth?

Apparently Chaturbate doesn't follow their own rules logically. Search this forum about Chaturbate equality.
No one said life is fair

the service is served by humans, humans do make mistakes, do have favorites, likes and dislikes, hidden agendas or simply bad days... Maybe a global moderator was not aware about some situations , heck there are so many webcam performers and a very small number of global moderators, some stuff might get overlooked intentionally or not...
The streaming service should not be a "jail" type .. with don't do that, you'll get banned, don't do that... you'll get reported...
The site has rules, the user (model or not) is obligated to respect and follow those rules... from my point of view is simple (black and white... no grey)

I think a lot of the time they'll turn a blind eye to their biggest earners breaking the rules. The model in the screenshot is one of the most popular on the site, literally every time I pop into her room she's earned hundreds if not thousands of dollars in tokens. I've seen other people playing video games (with the screen in view), having pets onscreen, etc., and they're all front page so there's no way the mods don't see. Shit's weird.

...I have to agree with you based on your logic and experience... which makes me wonder ...
are global moderators impartial? At the end of the day is all about the money so from top example I believe that making a shitload of money for CB you can bend rules a little more...
It has some sort of sense...
" I have no intention to cut (ban in this case) a source of money just for braking the rules... I make the rules " lol

I think there is not enough information in your question to actually know what the question is. Part of the problem may be that you are confusing technology with content.

One of the main streaming software packages is OBS. It turns out that CB is testing it's new high resolution interfaces that allow models to stream up to 4K, and OBS is *required* in order to use that new method. The model you selected is a technologist and is one of the models helping CB to test that new interface. So using OBS is not only allowed, but is actually required, for what she is doing.

The real issue might be that Lana was streaming some kind of copyrighted content, but I know nothing about her case. The irony of that of course is that nearly every model plays a soundtrack, and that is all copyrighted music. They do this without proper licensing of the music, so I guess these rules are not consistently applied.

I do agree with your point that these rules are probably not applied in quite the same way for all performers. The model you singled out is making 10K to 20K tokens per show just in CrazyTicket sales alone, and she routinely makes many tens of thousands of additional tokens per show. She writes custom software for her stream. She has the best the camera, the best lighting, the best outfits, and the best acting/performances. :) You can be sure CB is making plenty of money from her, and if she did infringe a rule, I have no doubt she would get a phone call from Shirley and it would be negotiated much differently than it would be for other models. That unfortunately is how the world works. It really is about Money.

Informative post! As far as Lana goes, she was streaming Overwatch which is not a copyrighted game. I've also tried streaming a game on Chaturbate and was quickly banned even though there is no rebroadcasting or copyrighted material.

Interesting, so this thread really does need Shirley to clarify the exact reasons that streaming a video game would get you banned.

I had a similar experience. I am not a model on CB, but I was testing out some simple streaming at CB and put together a slide show of images that were PG-13 and owned by me (so no copyright issue and no missing paperwork for any model appearing on camera). I was also quickly banned and it took a lot of effort to get to the place where I would be allowed to stream. In my case, putting together a professional-looking slideshow with animated characters, copyright notices, etc, might have looked to someone like spam. But in your case maybe the issue is they mistakenly believed you were taking someone else's visual copyrights?

I very much get the feeling that the people at CB who supervise the broadcasts are not operating on full cylinders. They seem to shoot first and ask questions later. For someone who has been a good citizen, couldn't they just generate an email with questions, and maybe turn off the ability to broadcast without restricting total access to the site? It all feels very heavy-handed.

Similar situation happened to FreyaSirenSong, a popular trans girl on chaturbate. She had Netflix on her TV on the background, not even playing any show, just the main screen for the app.

Someone reported it and boom, her stream was cut off and she received a warning.

Granted, that's more obvious but why can't we put the name of songs on the stream?

We need to ping Shirley with all this ASAP

@Terra Storm Did you try emailing to shirley@chaturbate.com?
