First off I'm 19 weigh about 112lbs and am 5'3 (petite). I have been thinking I may be hypoglycemic because of the way my appetite is..I have always eaten very small meals/snacks and have a high protein/carb/sugar diet. If I dont eat often I get dizzy and I never thought it were connected but I have also had anxiety and sweaty palms/clamminess. Lately i've been tired all the time and I wonder if maybe I have a problem with my blood sugar. I usually feel okay as long as I snack often so would it be necessary to actually go see a doctor about it? I have had symptoms for years now and never really put 2+2 together until now. Just in case this is related I have really awful joint aches and pain as well as a hard time falling asleep at night usually because my legs are restless.

Please go get this checked out, the sooner you have it properly diagnosed the sooner you can start treatment. It may be hypoglycemia, it may be something a little less serious but whatever it may be get it checked and take care of your health.

Those symptoms could be signs of diabetes, hypoglycemia, thyroid problems, lack of nutrients in your diet, dehydration, anemia, overexercising/undereating, lack of calories in your diet, anxiety disorder, side effects of restless legs syndrome... the list goes on and on! There's really no way to tell what it is/if it's a serious problem without consulting a medical professional. So definitely go to a doctor, tell them all of your symptoms, and let them run whatever tests they recommend. Hope you feel better soon! :)

absolutely go see a doctor...

you never know what your symptoms could be a sign of. i used to have occasional episodes where i'd get lightheaded, dizzy, and have to sit and drink on before i'd feel "normal" again but since it didn't happen that often i ignored it...

until one day i was in line at chipotle and started experiencing that same feeling and i tried to ignore it since i was almost to the counter, then i started seeing stars and my vision went black... next thing you know i'm waking up with paramedics standing over me.

scariest thing i've ever experienced. i later found out i am hypoglycemic and have low blood sugar and also that i was overall dehydrated and suffering from anxiety. now i've been able to get all of that under control and i'm healthy but had that never happened, i'd still be totally clueless about all the major issues i had been ignoring.

don't mean to preach to you but for your own safety and peace of mine, pleeease see someone. hopefully you can get to the bottom of whatever is causing that.

best of luck!

Please see your doctor and get tested for this. Make sure they test you for Hashimoto's disease. That is what I have and most of your symptoms were what I had. I now take a thyroid pill once a day and that helps.

YES, go get this checked by a doctor. If you are hypoglycemic, it needs to be monitored. Many times Hypoglycemia, over years, becomes diabetes.
Find out now so you can possibly avoid diabetes later.

I have hypoglycemia and it's not fun. I will recommend going to the doctor and finding out what it may be. If it is hypoglycemia, what helps me is lots of little snacks with no sugar and high carbs. Eating meals with lots of protein may help you as well.
