I am one of the models who is in favor of it and I tipped the toon a ton on its first night. Still I now believe the people behind it are simply idiots.

It seems ridiculous to me that the company claiming to be doing things to cater to the viewers, to give them what they want, because the other models don’t is fronted by the likes of Harper who as much as I thought she is cool, has no idea what viewers want otherwise she would make the first page more often. Instead she cams for a room of 100 on a site where the top cams have 10000. If she knew what viewers want to watch one would think she would apply it to herself.

Guess her theory is, "can't join 'em so make fun of them".

Last I checked nine goals were met and the puppeteer (for lack of a better word) was reminding people to tip and tips were smaller.

I watched the interview to find out who was behind it and why. Seemed like an immature guy behind the bear..and I couldn't imagine him being very sexy? (just going by his dialogue) I don't really care for Hentai, but I know it has a huge following? right? To each their own. So I don't mind Abby at all. zzzzz she was kinda boring when I watched her.
I get a bit annoyed at haters who complain about the "special permission" well, chaturbate can do whatever they want with their business..that's life and there's a whole lotta "special permissions" going on thru out life and business.
People tend to match the "Real People" behind the character with the character in the end. Like we think of Tom Hanks when we see "Woody" and we think of James Earl Jones when we see Darth Vader. So, I'm guess once everyone realizes who it is..it's "HER" no matter the blonde hair and blue eyes..AND speaking of that, I'm still waiting for someone to complain about that.

It's not artistically drawn or anything. If they wanted a cam twitter, they should have made one for the cartoon. Right you are. I was thinking the same thing. Mystery is more interesting. Now I know...and yes, they are a bit cocky and those of us who grew up with South Park, most of us have grown up...so hmmm yeah.....ew LOL
Keeping her a mystery would have made her more interesting. And I know all about that. I remember Vader spinning out into space, and wondering was so much better than knowing what happened...but that's another story, once I saw R2-D2 on a Campbell's soup can, I was DONE

I watched this Abby a couple of days ago. It was cute (I liked how her eyes turned into hearts) but the whole time I thought I could be watching an actual naked woman instead of a cartoon.

Obviously, people are throwing money at the novelty at this point. The art really does leave a lot to be desired on an aesthetic level, and the lack of mystery is going to mean they may not have much to lean on once the novelty wanes.

But on the other hand, people are capable of suspending disbelief pretty quickly and easily. If audience engagement is there, people may well be willing to put up with the bad art and revealed identities. For example, I've spent hours playing Strip Poker Night at the Inventory, which has a similar quality to its visuals, but relies heavily on the writing for character interaction. This strategy pays off. There's a dedicated community to providing more and more content, and it's an honestly fun experience.

As a proof of concept, I'm really intrigued by this. I've been following the phenomenon of virtual personalities forever. You get something with the level of talent involved as Gorillaz or Hatsune Miku have as virtual musical acts, and this is something that could really take off on its own merits.

Man, the more I think about it, the more I could see myself throwing my talents at trying to get something like this off the ground. I'm working on a dating sim right now, and I can say, once you get the model set up, it's not hard to change states. They're obviously dealing with a voice-input thing, where they're mostly worried about syncing mouth animations with what's being said, and not much else. I think that adds to the blandness of the aesthetic, but it's a good base to start from. I could see this going other ways, too. Like, maybe setting up what is essentially an extensive set of elaborate emotes. It must be doable to change facial expressions, while maintaining an animated mouth.

Sorry, now I'm rambling. I just think this whole thing is pretty cool. Not so much what we're seeing as of right now, but what it represents as a new avenue of entertainment. As an artist, I think the potential behind this sort of thing is especially neat, and I can see it opening up opportunities for a lot of talented people looking for a niche to fill.

These things will come whether we like it or not. From chaturbate's point of view it makes sense to have it on their platform before some other (new?) platforms features things like it. Being a chaturbate model myself I don't think i'm losing audience to this broadcaster but maybe, maybe it brings some new guys to cb and even more maybe find my room then.

CB is a site that can make a camgirl depressed fast. I usually regret perving for just this reason you mention.
