Okay Guys Im kinda a regular user of Chaturbate ... I used to buy tokens from my credit card on this site .. But in a few months my credit cards being declined dunno why .. I asked the bank they say everythings fine ..I even changed my card still declined.. Epoch declines too no idea why .. For anyone who hasn't seen this scam, this might actually be a good learning tool for newer models, so thank you for posting!
Here's what the scammer does... it's really a simple scam but it can be easily identified. They make up some bullshit excuse for why they can't use traditional forms of direct payment. *Note that they will always insist on using a substitute currency, credit included* Gift cards, purchases off of wishlists, pre-paid cards, etc. are very common substitute currency. Once they deliver the decoy in exchange for services or products (in this case, CB tokens), they cancel their substitute currency. *Note that gift cards can be cancelled/refunded before the code is activated and spent, wishlist items are only good when delivery/receipt is 100% confirmed* For anyone who has never seen... TV... or movies... this is called a "bait and switch".
Some tips on how to identify scams like this:
- Too good to be true?
- Story is inconsistent or illogical
- Scammer gets frantic when called out, typically either defensively ("I'm not scamming, no, I would never do that, here's more trash that makes no sense") or offensively ("I'm just trying to get tokens to tip models, *you* are preventing me from getting them, *you* are the problem")
- Usually the scammer will stress the urgency of time in order to pressure the transaction; if they are legit, they can wait a week.
Some tips on how to NOT fall into scams like this:
- Watch for red flags in story consistency. Ask questions.
- Encourage clientele to use traditional, reliable payment formats and have them contact support lines if there are any "problems". I hear "oh my account is maxed out" or "this site won't take my card" pretty much every shift; neither myself nor any of my camsite friends I've made over the past 3-4 years had ANY problem purchasing tokens. Any camsite will absolutely address any issue involving them making money until it is resolved; it's typically pretty high up there on their priority list.
- When exchanging services or product for payment, ALWAYS take payment upfront. No exceptions.
- If using a substitute currency, as outlined in this case, convert the substitute into REAL currency immediately and before delivery of your product or service. The only exception to this, in my book, being tokens as a substitute currency on the basis that they cannot be refunded.

To the best of my knowledge, this is not a marketplace for under-the-table transactions.
I understand that you live in the UK and that they may be cracking down on pornographic material/websites. That is unfortunate and you have my condolences. This is not something any of us (unless we have some politicians in the house...) can help you with. I, for one, am not going to aid you in bypassing CB protocol, but I would be glad to give you troubleshooting advice; advice that I have and am continuing to provide in the highest capacity I am able.
I understand you are upset, unfortunately that doesn't really solve your problem. In my eyes, it seems you have two options... You can continue to try to use outside currency on CB (which is against CB ToS and, as such, puts yourself and anyone else involved at high risk, so I highly advise against it) or you can follow the typical procedures and brainstorm where the processing error is and how to address it.
If have any specific questions about your actual issue rather than "who wants to send me tokens in exchange for gift cards", I will gladly assist in any way that I can. If not, I wish you the best of luck and advise other models/members to be extremely cautious.

Okay Im sorry if I have offended you in any way .. I think Ill just wait and try getting a credit card from a different bank ..I said earlier the Chaturbate kinda disowns their processors when I ask them what is the problem in my card ..Chaturbates own processor doesnt have a support as said to me by the chaturbate support staff.. The Epoch processor froze my account and when I asked what seems to be the problem ..they said youre entering the credit card info wrong ..I told them I double checked ..then they say they have no idea whats wrong and their software froze it forever and cant be reversed .Paypal is not available here and international wire transfers cost alot ...Thats the only reason I had to sort to this way ..Hope this answers all your questions now ..The Chaturbate staff is of no help at all ..DeezNA said:

I actually had the same problems with multiple cards being denied and CB not being able to help. It resolved itself, who knows what the problem was. But I didn't run around trying to make shady deals with strangers in forums.
I went and did a wire transfer. Problem solved. I understand you either can't (or won't) do that. The reason I bring it up is to point out that the transfer cost me $30. Compare that with this...
If I was going to consider your offer (and I'm not), this would be my counter proposal:
1. Min $1000 purchase
2. You pay $30 transfer fee my bank charges
3. You also throw in the $10 for my efforts too!
4. When I get $1040 and have time to make sure it's legit, I make transfer
5. Tokens show up in my CB account 4 days later, I give you half of them. The other half I keep to fund my missionary efforts in Eastern Europe.
But either way, I'm sure it will all work itself out. If worst comes to worst, I understand Hustler is still in print. You could always go that route. Cheers!
