Are there any top mature models?, ones that make a good living from this. The top earners seem to be the girls that look a lot younger than 18. I only tend to do well if one particular viewer visits my room. I get a lot of regular tips but small amounts. Is there another site which works better for the mature models so can make some decent money regaly from this?. Thanks 🙂.

I'm not sure what "mature" means for you. Some people think that anyone over the age of 25 is considered "mature".

Just because someone is constantly on the first page doesn't mean that they are necessarily making more than someone who is on other pages. Yes, there are typically more viewers for younger women, but viewers do not always equal income. I don't really watch cams much anymore, but there used to be a woman on CB who was always first page and she appeared to be in her late 40s or early 50s. I'm pretty bad with ages tbh so could be wrong. She was always tipped pretty well. There also used to be a woman on this forum who was in her late 60s (iirc) and she did really well. I'm in my 30s and I think I make a decent living. Many people on this forum are also "older" and they do fine.

All that being said, I do think that token sites, in general, probably do favor younger models. Youthful looks do have their advantages and more viewers does equal more chances to be seen and more chances to be tipped. However, there are plenty of people out there who are looking for someone older, which is evidenced by the examples I gave above.

You may have better luck on a premium site, such as Streamate. I have seen more "older" models in the top rows on there.

Also should note that it's slow on all sites for a lot of people right now. Getting more eggs in your basket will help you so much during slow times. This time of year has always been really really good for me, but this year it is not. However, I am selling content, am on Fansly, am doing some private shows via Skype, and I just added another egg - all of which has allowed me to not stress about my camming earnings. Broaden your horizon. There are people out there who are looking for exactly what you have to offer, but if you aren't putting yourself out there, then they can't find you.

Hi Brit I am quite new to this and there seems to be so much to it. I have actually just put a post on another site asking a question similar to what you have said. How do you learn all these things like the best place to sell videos, how much to charge etc?, or using Twitter to promote. I struggle with the technical side like I have half set up Domi for tips but waiting for support to get back to me to find why it's not working. There are so many avenues to this you could probably make a lot of money if you could do it right. Is there any people out there like a sort of promoter or advisor who could help you with this. Some of the girls on Chaturbate use moderators who I thought were fans doing it because they liked the model but some of them are really good and really encourage the guys to tip etc. Did you just learn all this as you go along ?.

I've seen women in their 30s-40s-50s and 60s making money on most of the major sites so it's definitely possible. From what I've read I think the majority of cam customers is 25-35 years old so it makes sense that younger women would get more attention from them, and older women will get their attention as "stepmom" role play.

The amount of information you can gather from here and stripperweb is incredible. Anything you need to know has probably already been written about. You just need to search the main threads and write down questions so you can search for those answers if you don't find them in the threads you're reading.

The majority of what you need to learn to make money will happen while you work though. You'll figure out what requests you get the most, so you know what your customers want from you. You'll figure out what you enjoy doing, how to finesse money from your customers, and how to keep them interested, i.e. your personal hustle style.

It's important to keep in mind that even the most popular models earn the majority of their income from a small amount of customers. If you have people coming back to see you then you're doing something right. Keep those guys happy and try to add to them when you can. You don't need to be the most popular to earn a good living.

There are a lot of advisors and stuff out there. Please be very selective if you go this route - many many are scammers. Look for sex workers with actual lived experience - and even then... don't assume they're not just trying to take off with your $$$

I can recommend Laura Savage

AmberlyPSO has her courses all free now on her website - they can be a bit of information overload but there are smart tactics in there.

I can also reccomend a book called Thriving In Sex Work - it has an entire chapter on aging that can be helpful.

But honestly - you don't need an advisor. You really just need to take it slow, learn one thing at a time and be kind to yourself. Setting a little time aside each day to do research on camming subjects will help. But yes, most of us just learn as we go along.. the level of skill i have now as compared to 10 years ago... I know know very basic coding, I'm proficient in adobe premiere, basic photoshop, I've learned what types of clients are the best and what are red flags, marketing strategies, an indepth knowledge of sexuality, fetishes, safe sex and legalities around porn that I didn't have the first clue about.

In regards to your concerns about age .. I can't speak for cb specifically as I've never cammed there but the older and fatter I get the more I charge. I'm better at what I do every month that goes by. I've gone from needing to cam constantly to barely camming and having folks lining up to book custom videos and skypes with me. I pick and choose the clients I want.

Thank you Brit. I think I am not doing enough of the other things. I only do it part time anyway as I do other work but it would be nice to get a few more viewers.

Thanks for all the info I will look into it.
