Support didn't answer the question, they just deleted my details (as asked to!)... which makes me very curious as it says in their privacy policy it'd only be held by third party payment processors and not CB itself. At which point... hmm <_<

So I noticed my payment choice was no longer "enter details" but now had a "use stored card". Say wut?
I clicked it to see if it'd work - and it did; I entered nothing. I emailed support asking to have my details removed, and asked a load of questions... as I was not a happy bunny.

1) Since when did I give permission to store my card details? I've never, and would never, agree.
2) Which jurisdiction are they stored within - as in under who's Data Protection Act... fairly sure this should be information the user is made aware of. It shouldn't be held in a country that has lesser data protection laws than my own (from memory).
3) What, exactly, is stored. I have to fill in name, address, card number, expiry and my cvv number... (are they even allowed to store cvv numbers, i thought that was not allowed). So I'm guessing all of that. And who is storing this again? CB or the payment processor...
4) What security is used; are my details encrypted, where are they stored?

None of the questions were answered, (honestly, I'd not expect support to know!) but my details have apparently (so they say) been deleted. Hmm. I'm glad my details are no longer on file, but concerns remain.

Some may not care at all, but if you do care about things like this - just a heads up. Also, who would you have to ask to find this info anyway :D

Chaturbate is very dodgy indeed. They have their own payment process which is insecure. They store details on file. Not secure like the payment processing companies. Plus to increase the spending limit they ask for all kinds of identity information. I'm a bit worried about them in terms of security, identity theft and general attitude towards billing security

as far as I can see most of those places are in some hidden location in the US. However its impossible to tell really where it is as the trail goes cold. I would assume Federal US law applies. But as you say, I think the credit card filing and other personal identification information is of concern. Ideally none of these sites would have any personal information at all stored. Also given the nature of conversations I would be interested what happens to their logs, associations with accounts, IP numbers, account detail etc etc. You just hope that indisutry is fairly careful, given the nature of it but there have been bad events in the past regarding security.
