If those rules are actually followed and people are banned for such, it's going to pretty much eliminate my use of Vine altogether.

I assumed since they had a "sensitive content" filter that we use that they planned ahead to allow it...

I wonder if Vine even knows or is thinking about models specifically, though? Just looking at the comments on all of our Vines, I see about a gajillion guys posting videos of them jerking off :lol: Also I know Vine is popular with youngins these days so they probably don't want to be held responsible for kids posting their junk online.

It does suck though, I know a lot of girls have gotten traffic through Vine. I'm not sure if I ever have but I like it because every time I post a Vine I get a ton of followers, haha.

But I am so pleased to see that they have explicitly defined breastfeeding as being okay! This is a far cry from Facebook which is reknown for taking down beautiful breastfeeding pics because of their non nudity policy which is beyond lame.

I really only use it for my FanVines, which will just have to be clothed from now on so it doesn't really affect me too much, but it will affect a LOT of other people.
If I have the equivalent of an entire towns population following me, and I don't even post much... I think they may have that 1% a little scewed.
Vine is awesome and all but they are about to see a massive drop in users.

Only thing that really bums me out is I like to use it to post previews of my videos.

This is the worst news, EVER! I have 80k followers on vine that followed me for my nude posts and MANY of them come into my camroom and spend $ on me after I posted my link on vine. WTF!

it would depend on whether the boobs (nudity) is sexually provocative in context. Camgirl nude /partially nude vines are quintessentially sexually provocative (well all the ones I have ever seen) so it's just not gonna fly. Maybe it could be argued to be artistic in context, but it would be a hard sell against a 'reasonable person' defense.

That's what I reckon anyway.

I downloaded and deleted all my nakey ones this morning. I may continue to use it here and there for some teasy stuff and non-naughty stuff, but the fun is definitely taken away when we aren't allowed to show any goodies.

At least there will be less dick avatars in my comments now! It was out of control there.

The FCC? Twitter isn't a the internet It's a private company that has to make money, or at least pretend to be trying to.

Companies tread a fine line when it comes to adult material. If a platform gets to be know as a platform for adult, mainstream producers, upon whom these sites rely for revenue will not want to use it. Given the choice between cool and making money, platforms will remember their employees and the rent they have to pay and the shareholders looking for returns on investment.

There are platforms where anyone can upload adult material. Why not use those?

In short: because Vine was more mainstream. More mainstream = a wider audience = possibly converting more viewers into cam site/etc. members.

Which inevitably is what led to this whole debacle. Since it *is* so mainstream, and obviously as you stated to be supported by non-adult companies and such, it can't survive while allowing hardcore nudity.

Sites that are made specifically to host adult material have a smaller possible audience from the get-go, because they aren't as accepted in society nor advertised and used as widely.

If Twitter was to go the same direction, it would be pretty devastating to many adult performers. But they seem to have allowed naughtiness in their hosted pics for quite some time now. Let's hope that remains.
