Also, Take this waltz is pretty good Canadian movie. Depressing, and funny all in one. Also, Sarah Silverman gets naked and you see bush. So....plus.

Try out Outrageous Fortune and Almighty Johnsons. both tv shows from New Zealand. I can't recommend these enough, love them.

ok you know how i just recommended The Almighty Johnsons from New Zealand
I just learned that season 3 starts up next week in NZ .. and CAnada! sweet
season 3 trailer.

They tend to show a lot of Canadian shows on American network TV during the summer (probably because it's cheap programming). Rookie Blue, Flashpoint, and Motive are some of them (off the top of my head).

If you're interested in Canadian filmmakers, David Cronenberg and Atom Egoyan are probably the most celebrated.

Canada has always fascinated me--it's like America with nicer, saner people.
