Can Chaturbate Hack someones cam?

This may sound desperate, but I recently found out my boyfriend has a chaturbate account. He swore to me he only watched cams as porn and never broadcasted himself. However, when I created my own fake account and tried to access his profile, it said that the room required a password.

Worse, when I googles his username, I found a website that seems to collect screengrabs from chaturbate (liveohmibod . com) and there was an image of him. No face showing, just him, neck down sitting at the computer with clothes on.

I confronted him and he was shocked. He said he never broadcasted before and has no clue how that got there. He said he thinks Chaturbate or someone hacked into his cam while he was viewing someone and screenshotted.

I can PM anyone to give further details. I am very depressed about this issue and really need clear answers. I don't want to think he's lying to me.

The whole "someone hacked and screenshotted" is a bit too much of a perfect excuse. I've never even heard of a popular cam model getting their actual webcam hacked and screenshot much less someone who is a viewer who claims to never have broadcasted before. However, almost every person who broadcasts gets their shows capped by auto recording bots/cb software that screenshots a broadcast when you're on cam. I'm sorry this isn't the answer you wanted to hear but I'm pretty sure he's lying.

im pretty sure he was just masturbating, sweety. most dudes on chaturbate are just masturbating. chaturbate lets ANY account masturbate on cam. what most people fail to realize is when you broadcast anything, there is bot already capping your show. he wasn't hacked; the internet is just forever.

he was probably doing c2c with a model and privately broadcast and the bot could only get a screen grab because he password protected it. some dudes' thing is they want someone to see their junk while they masturbate. it's a common fetish in camland.

While Chaturbate does not "hack" cams---we have no need to, as all streams are already running through our servers and is recorded, although that material stays on our servers and is not all over the web---bots and screen grabs are common on all cam sites, as pirating of content affects not just pre-recorded material, it also affects cammers.

Thank you all... This wouldn't be an issue if he just told the truth. But the fact is, I've found dating apps on his phone, a condom on his floor, etc... All of which he cleverly explained away.
I've always had trust issues and this has sealed the deal and broken my heart
I asked him to simply take a screen shot of his profile where it last "last broadcasted" to prove if he did or didn't. And I even said I will stay with him regardless, but he will have to explain himself and the other questionable things he's done in the past.
Sorry to turn this into an emotional topic, but I love him so much and I do know he loves me... I just think he has a sex drive that is disassociated with emotion.

I don't know if he's lying, sorry, but I tend to agree with the Occam's razor thing. But chances are pretty good that any given dude is showing his junk to someone on the internet, and I'm sure a certain percentage of them end up in a screenshot because... well... the screenshot button exists, so people press it. I doubt it will make you feel any better, but I think it's a good sign that at least he did it in an appropriate venue where people willingly go to see that kind of thing.

Chances are, like everyone has said so far, that he did a cam to cam or was broadcasting. It's pretty common, it doesn't mean he isn't in love with you or anything like that- but you need to talk about trust issues and not let it brew inside. I don't have an issue with my boyfriend going on cam sites and porn sites, as long as he's paying, but that is our relationship. You need to sit down and talk about why it makes you uncomfortable and what you (as a couple) can do together to fix it and set boundaries. If you want, you could also break up with him. A partner lying to you really, really sucks.

That won't stop bots, unfortunately. They can be set to crawl every page of the site, not just home page. There are also pirates that screen grab through their own webcams and can rip any feed they can access, including voyeur shows and privates they are spying on. Unfortunately, there is no way for any web cam site to stop the practice, either.

The bots are "anonymous" viewers, so they cannot be banned by us models as would be possible with registered users. You would do models a huge favour by implementing this as an option. Yes, I've tested it with the app "block anonymous viewers" and it works. I did not get recorded then.

It's not a perfect solution but it makes it makes auto recording much more demanding for the guy who runs the bots.
