Can anyone help me uninstall a screwed up program?

I'm trying to uninstall a program that doesn't show in the list when you go to Control Panel (Windows 7 uninstall program). So it's not there. I do a search and find the program in Programs, and I locate an Uninstall application. I click on it, and get the normal UAC warning and hit YES. Nothing happens.

So I go into the registry and look there for the Uninstall, because Microsoft says it might have a name that's too long and needs to be renamed. And it's not there either.

Fuck Logitech. But I still need to get it to work!!

It's not too relevant but all I want to do is put my Logitech 9000 back on of my PCs after installing the software on it for the C920. And it won't let me do it until C920 is uninstalled. I like the 920 but I've moved it to another PC.

I've been working on this for 6 hours now. Have left a post on the Logitech forum but who knows when they'll answer? Hoping someone here is tech savvy enough!!

If you ran the uninstall program, and there may be files that are remaining in "Program Files" folder or data files in the "Program Data" folder (unlikely, but possible). If that is the case, just delete the folders.

Here is a forum post with a similar issue as yours: http://forum.thewindowsclub.com/windows ... panel.html

Also, you could try an app called "CCLeaner". I have it, it is pretty useful. It's free and you can get it here: http://www.piriform.com/CCLEANER

This could help you in cleaning up orphaned registry issues due to a poorly written uninstall program.

There are other things that can be done, but you might try these first.

Good luck!

not much of a teckie, but i swear by http://forums.techguy.org/ for everything from the little annoying quirks to the major catastrophes....lot of members there, so if you post, you'll get a lot of opinions....but eventually one of the volunteers who actually WORK that site will come along, and they will stay with you until a solution is found.

^ Revo Uninstaller. I swear by it, its a miracle. I havent uninstalled a program any other way since I discovered it. It was recommended to me by the geek forum guys who helped me get a nasty virus off my computer a couple years ago.

Thanks for all the info! I installed CCLeaner and by some miracle it solved my original problem, negating the need to uninstall and go back to a previous version! So that was a very nice turn of events. I'll certainly save the links everyone has mentioned, though.
