Cammodels.com (Streamate) letting models use looping video

I have been a member at cammodels.com (streamate). Recently I noticed that a couple of models were using looping video instead of a live feed.

I decided to report my findings to the costumer support. Costumer support told me that this was ok and that several models are allowed to use looping video in the free chat.
I argued that this was cheating paying members, and that I would inform other members on cammodels.com about their policy regarding the use of recorded video.

This caused the costumer rep to inform me that my account had been closed permanently and that any attempt by me to open a new account would be refused by their system.

first off, welcome to the forum! there's an introduction topic for members and this is a great place to socialise with models and co-members. I'm sorry you weren't feeling welcome yet, but here's the thing. this forum is like to go-to place for a lot (A LOT) of people who are having issues with, well whatever cam-related. you wouldn't imagine the amount of topics being opened every week by people signing up here just to complain about this site or that model. It sucks, it really does and I think it's seriously uncool of streamate, especially banning you for standing up for your right as a consumer. but all in all, there's nothing we (members of this forum) can do about this.

so, if you want to just vent here for a bit, that's totally okay, but do understand, to me (us?) you're just another random angry stranger with two posts on his name.

I mentioned the recorded videos being broadcasted as live streams in a post here recently. A lot of them aren't even of the actual model. They play a video of an American porn star, but there is someone else typing in the chat that barely can type broken English. I messaged Streamate support about it happening. They were very dismissive, but I didn't make anything threats, so avoided being banned. Glad someone took screenshots, caused I never bothered to save my emails from them.

You really have to only look for rooms on their site where the model uses audio and speaks a lot, addressing users by their screen names, to avoid scam artists. It is really disappointing what they knowing let people do for their own profits. Which is why I refuse to be a customer of theirs. I try to get any models I might like to try a different cam site.

One model that I know of, has created two personas... with the same name, one with a "fan club" ending...DiamondJackson. She uses one room for her regular stuff...chat, pvts, golds, etc, and the other plays pre-recorded loops of her in privates, showering, etc...for when she's busy but so her fans can still see her. But it's all explained in the profile for that persona--DiamondJackson_FanClub.

So, it sounds like a feature offered to at least some models but SM seems to have trouble explaining things reasonably without getting defensive.

I've never seen her FanClub ending cam, but are you sure it's on a loop? That just sounds like the really common live voyeur cam that some girls set up individually from their sexy times cam.

It sounds like that might just be her Voyeur Profile in which case having a looped recording would make sense. Models can have Voyeur profiles in addition to their "normal" profiles. The video she plays gives people an idea of what they might see when they view her live feed but since it's voyeur I doubt she talks/interacts with people. That's what her other profile is for.

Also, Streamate never ceases to amaze me with their support (or lack of it)...

Usually the voyeur profiles are for models with their own monthly subscription pay / solo site. There's something special setup on the account so that they can embed video & chat in their members section free for their subscription members. Members on the Streamate side will see them as in private 99% of the time except for the first few seconds they sign on to the account, and have to pay per minute to watch unless they go join the model's site. The chat for the model's site members is also separate from the Streamate members chat. So people on one side don't see any of the people on the other. Generally there won't be much chatting going on unless the model is talking to her site members on her voyeur account.

This might be the case with Diamond Jackson, I think she runs her own site but I've never been a member. I know Diamond James though and many others have used this kind of setup.Some solo site models also have this feature setup just on their main Streamate account, rather than a 2nd account. Like Janessa Brazil, sometimes she does regular privates and gold shows, but she also does her weekly members show for her website through Streamate. Her members see the hour show free, or Streamate members can join in it for a gold pledge.

I believe you may be talking about something completely different.

All models have the ability to stream their feed - free and paid shows - via their 'regular' profiles onto their member site/solo site/1-page, password protected blog if they want to. I've done it on my one and only account and, like you said, many other models do so as well. People who are not part of my personal site can still pay to see my "member shows" the same way they would pay to see a Gold Show. I think what he's talking about is a separate voyeur account which is set up differently from a regular account.

When I used the imbedded video/chat on my personal site I didn't have a separate chatroom set up. Everything went through the Streamate feed the exact same way it would if I was doing a normal cam session. It's possible she was just in "Classic Chat" which doesn't allow members to see each other.

I sent a message to my account manager to get more details about a voyeur account and will post an update once I get a response.

Must just be special approval the model has to get for the 2nd account then. One model I know, she wanted the voyeur account separate from her main account, so her voyeur shows for her website members would be rated separately by the Streamate members who bought into those shows. So it wouldn't possibly lower the ratings on her main account she gets for her privates and gold shows. It isn't an account for playing recorded videos, but Streamate's instructions to her were to have very limited interaction on that account. So many people who watch the voyeur accounts sparingly from the Streamate member side, justifiably think it is a recording and leave negative reviews when the model doesn't respond to them.

For the chat, I don't mean there's a separate non-Streamate chat system. You as the model see everyone all in one chat I would assume. But as a viewer, it is figuratively like there are 2 chats, when there are Streamate members and non-Streamate members from a model's website in a model's room. You can only see the people who entered from the same place you did. No chat or login notifications display for people from the other side. Classic chat vs party chat on the account only effects the users signed into a Streamate account as far as I can tell. I have logged into a show from both sides at the same time, and can't see the things I type from the opposite side, even when I have my text set to visible.

Gotcha.

Models actually have 2 separate chat windows available, not including paid chat (Premium/Exclusive) which is a 3rd chat area. One area is for people who have credit cards on file in their account and the other is Free Chat for members without credit cards. We can decide whether or not to allow members without credit cards to chat. If we select no then that window/chat area is not visible to us and members can't chat with us. Also, the people who watched my shows from my personal site still showed up as members in my chatroom. I don't know whether they showed up to other members though. I just know that I saw them

And yes. Models have to get approved to have a 2nd account specifically for Voyeur shows. If a models wants to do member shows (non voyeur) on that account I'm sure she can!

Unfortunately it just sounds like people don't READ, which is an entirely different issue. I can't tell you how many times I've received a bad rating for a show because a member didn't take 1 minute to see that I don't offer anal in private.
