Just watched this and am wondering what others opinions are. Two things I took from it are 1. A girl after watching this would be more likely to try camming especially a women who didn't think of herself as "conventionally beautiful" 2. It showed the girls who cam in a very positive light, it showed you as bright intelligent women who made a personal decision to cam.
To a degree the movie and trailers take the seediness out of camming, without this I would not of looked at camming. So I'd reackon it both encourages more models and members to try camming.

I hate all the documentaries they have made about camming because of all the new girls that flood the market after they come out showing how camming is all sooo easy and you can make sooo much money (/sarcasm). They do nothing to attract new customers to the sites. Despite there being a very real dark underworld where some girls ARE trafficked or otherwise forced into camming as their only option, most are indeed camming because they want to, and because it's a more lucrative and fulfilling option. More 'normal' girls who would've never considered any kind of "sex work" before are jumping at the chance to get into it because of these shows. These days half the world and their dog cams!

On the other hand I do enjoy watching them for myself. This one is actually the best I've seen even though it primarily focussed on token site models. I liked seeing the fans point of view, and seeing how the older lady who had lost her husband was using it as a way to reconnect with her sexuality (I cried over her story!).

I've watched Camgirlz and HGW and my opinion wasn't swayed by either, though the approaches were interesting.

Camming is fairly new, but sex work isn't, nor would it be uncommon in family histories if they were complete. There are differences to industry of camming; not much differs in the progress of living a life. Nor has much changed in assumptions over time.

To this day Hedy Lamarr is known as that woman who went nude in early films, with only a few recognizing she co-developed a torpedo guidance system during WWII that has more to do with Bluetooth and WiFI interaction today than it did in winning the war.

Clothes don't make one smarter or vica versa.

I enjoyed it, but I wish they would've shown some struggling camgirls too, or talked more about the days where you go on cam for hours and make next to nothing. Even top models have bad earning days. Camming can be good money, but it's not easy money or a get rich quick job, and I think the Camgirlz documentary made it seem easier than it is. I also wish they would've talked more about all the off-cam work that goes into it, such as making videos, taking pictures, updating your social media, keeping in touch with good spending regulars via KIK or Snapchat, etc.

I do like that they showed cam girls with a variety of looks and body types, and that you don't have to look like a Barbie doll in order to be successful. In fact, most of the successful cam models that I know of do not look like Barbie dolls or Playboy Playmates.

Yup. I heard that ever since some UK cam girl documentary came out, AdultWork has been flooded with new models signing up, yet no advertising or anything is done to bring in MORE CUSTOMERS. AW models are not pleased about having to compete with even more new models...who, from what I've heard, are charging insanely low per-minute group/private show rates.

I first found Cam4 maybe 6 years ago, then CB 5 years ago and became a member of MFC 2 years ago. Back then when you watched porn there was always a lot of pop ups and some of them were for cam sites.I really distrusted them thinking they were all fronts for Russian Mafia and the girls would all try to scam you.
It is easy find this video if you are already visiting cam sites, not sure if this will be linked in more mainstream places where it might be viewed by guys who have never visited cam sites. If some of these guys do view it, I think they would be curious to check out a site, knowing that the girls are your regular girl next door type and the sites are legit.
I could also see it being something a girl could show her friends and family, letting them know camming isn't as bad as they think it is.

Some are yes, not me tho I raised mine lol. These docs have affected AW and SM the most - bb4 in the UK are so damn obsessed with camming it seems (there's been about 7 so far i think in the last 3 years?), that we have been ravaged over here, stupid docs, and stupid models that feature in them and ruin it for the rest of us! I have lost count of the number of times I've been contacted to appear in or advise and I tell them straight up to get OUT of our business.

The market is flooded anyway. Girls who come because of the allure of "easy" money won't last unless it really does come easily and then more power to them. Girls already in this industry don't get to stake a claim on whatever money is floating around to be had. That said, I haven't liked any of the documentaries I've seen too much. They're always skewed heavily one way or the other. I do think it is awesome and generous for camgirls to get involved in a documentary though. Was nice seeing familiar faces.
