As a new cam girl I didn't do my due diligence when it came to research before jumping right in on chaturbate and baring it all. I assumed I would be recorded by members watching and was ok with that, I also assumed that EVENTUALLY there might be images out there on the internet. What I wasn't aware of was that every single chaturbate model is recorded from their very first show by a bot and uploaded all over the internet. I also made the mistake of only googling my chaturbate name to look for content, and finding nothing, felt safe to continue. After 8 days of camming I googled my name + chaturbate... and found images and videos everywhere. Yes, I freaked out. This led me to begin researching how to get it removed, and I soon realized it's not easy, and sometimes even impossible, to do so.
Sending DMCA takedowns personally is a no-no because they send your real name and info to lumen which then appears on the google search page with links to all your content. This is worse than just having images out there! So then I looked into Cam Model Protection. After a bit of research I find that this service gives your real name to lumen as well! Why would I pay someone to send a take down notice and hand over my personal information? I was blown away by this and very thankful I avoided it. And I've seen people saying this is a good service and wanted to warn others, if you do this, your real name will be linked to all your images and vids out there -- which is NO BUENO.
So what did I do? I contacted chaturbate support and asked them what I should do. They sent take downs for me and said to give it 30 days to take effect. I know that not everything will be removed, and there's nothing to do but accept that, it's part of the job. But I wish I'd had all this information before starting, hindsight is 20-20.
