- There will be two new fields: "Achievements" and "Virtual gifts".

I don't know anything about the site other than occasional gigglesnorts from this thread, and that it pops up if you're on like pornhub or wherever. From that kind of quick look, it looks the same as a SM white label and I wouldn't know it as any different without clicking on an individual model. The home pages all look the same.

For good or bad that's one thing MFC has going for it's look in that it stands out. Every other camsite looks exactly the same initially. And Chaturbate kind of looks like all the others and MFC had a raunchy lovechild.

We’ve noticed that models, especially the new ones, often ask us for useful tips and tricks for increasing their income. As it turns out many of them are completely unaware of different ways to make money on our site.

This is why we’ve decided to give you a brief overview of all the income possibilities at BongaCams, while discussing some of them in greater detail.

Let’s not get into details about the necessity of constantly changing your appearance, attracting new members, smiling and looking good on camera, maintaining good sound and image quality as well as many other things that have to do with your live performance.

We can discuss all that some other time. Right now let’s just look at the numbers:

1. The first and the most significant source of a models income is your commission money. You get over 50% of all the tokens that you earn at BongaCams.

So how do you earn tokens? First of all, by getting tips from members. Most successful models on our site get about 80-90% of their income from tips. Secondly, by participating in live chats. Here are the prices for different types of live chats.

• Group Chat – 15 tokens a minute
• Private Chat – 30 tokens a minute
• Full Private Chat – 45 tokens a minute
• Spying – 7 tokens a minute

2. The second major source of a models income is the cash prices that you get for getting top places in different contests. Let’s have a closer look at what those contests are, and what are the prices for getting top places.

Bonga Cams is a wonderful place to cam but their marketing is so bad and I truly believe this inhibits a lot of people from trying out the website. It's starting to be embarrassing that so much of their marketing is false.

Now, to clear this up:

For our referring referred members, depending on which token package they buy, we'd keep 50.1% - 60.5% if they spend the tokens on us. However, for any purchase they make, we keep 15%.

Most successful models on our site get about 80-90% of their income from tips.

I don't know where this number comes from but it's been my experience personally and from watching others and from hearing from other fellow models that work on Bonga that the majority of our income comes from privates (spy, group, private and full private) and not free chat tips as this statement implies.

In fact, it's my experience that the Bonga chat free chat experience is much cheaper than that of other sites. I would guess this is partly due to their token packages being much more expensive than say MFC and CB.

The third way to make money on our site is by receiving up to 25% cut of all the purchases that a member that you referred to BongaCams makes on the site.

maximum packages has a lower cap initially of 666 but as your membership increases (from purchasing) so too do the size packages members can purchase. it's the same system as MFC, CB, etc. as example at the second tier of membership, Platinum, members have the following options for purchases.
as Miqote pointed out above, even using the lower cost packages, at .109 each and the model gaining .05 per token, that still works out to 45.87%, still under the 50% the propaganda states. and yes those values are not a consistent decline in per token cost, its been discussed among members and no one understands the pricing but the per unit costs are printed on the page so anyone with basic math skills can compare cost efficiency when purchasing.

First of all, we would like to explain how your commission money is calculated. The percentage is NOT based on the amount that a member spends in your chat room. It is based on the commission rate indicated in your profile and the price of 1 Token. Models are always paid THE SAME amount (0.1 EUR) per Token.

For example, if a models has 50% in her/his profile, (s)he gets 0,05 EUR from 1 token. If 40% - 0,04 EUR. Later this amount is converted from euros to dollars. The conversion rate depends on our partner bank.

Models really can get more than 50%. To illustrate this let us look at an example of a token purchase from Australia:




As you can see this member from Australia pays 50 euros for 555 tokens by Wire transfer. If he spends these tokens on a model, who has 50%, then she will get 555 tokens * 0,05 EUR = 27,75 EUR.
So: 27.75 euros / 50 euros * 100% = 55.5% (is the models commission rate). And that is MORE than 50%.

I don't know where this number comes from but it's been my experience personally and from watching others and from hearing from other fellow models that work on Bonga that the majority of our income comes from privates (spy, group, private and full private) and not free chat tips as this statement implies.

The majority of our models really get most of their income from tips. Of course, the exact percentage varies with time. If you use BongaCams for split camming, then you're really better off sticking to private, group and spy mode chats.

The biggest concern here still seems to be rate. Please re-look at your original post, particularly this section here:

This is a big difference than your second post here:

Do you see what a big difference this makes? I never disagreed about model's being able to receive 50% "or more" - I disagreed that model's receive 50% "or more" on ALL tokens. In fact, the referred member's rate is over 50% that I quoted. With your example, looking at my member's account and talking to my regulars that are members of Bonga, I do see that the "Bank Transfer" option is a better deal buying tokens. However, I feel as though very few people would even use this option over a credit card, especially if a member would have a delay in receiving the tokens via the bank transfer. So, I feel as though your example is more of an exception rather than typical.

I think we can simplify this by stating the following: If a member pays more than 10 cents (Euros or USD - because the conversion rate is, at this time, so similar), then the model is NOT receiving 50% or more.

And, most of the token packages, especially those available via credit card are more than 10 cents. So, I dare say that, much of the time, the model is not receiving 50% or more - even though, it is possible that he or she can. I feel as though we're in agreement on this, yes?

Finally, regarding this issue, I'd like to point out the following false information on the Bonga home page on their FAQ:

Bonga Cams is a pretty good site, but I think there's a lot that can be changed or altered to make it even better and potentially more profitable for both the site and models.

• Twitter - Currently you do not allow models to post their Twitter information. This should be changed so they can... if a model can give out their twitter info, the members can follow and receive notices when the model is online and know when to go online when their favorite model is online. This obviously can bring in more traffic to the site

• Video Purchases - Currently you do allow models to post videos on their profiles for sale. If you're a VIP, you can see these for free. If you're crafty enough, you can just create a new account and pay $1 for a week of VIP and see all the videos you want for free. This isn't beneficial to the model in any way. With talking with models, the ones that I have talked to have had 0 people actually pay to watch the video. I think it would be advantageous for the models that this VIP free feature be removed and/or allow models to post links to their video sites and/or allow them to advertise video sales for tokens and allow them to give links (like through Project Maenad) to the members (via PM) who tip for them. Obviously the last option would be best for both parties, as Bonga Cams would be getting the tokens and models can get content out to their members.

• Room Helpers - Currently there is no system. If a model is doing a show and away from her keyboard, there is no way for her to moderate her own room. Allowing a member to ban can create issues with power hungry people who like to ban people for little to no reason... I wouldn't suggest to add a banning system. But, possibly allow the model to assign a room helper who can clear the chat when unwanted spam is posted, mute members who are being disrespectful, and edit topics/countdowns.

Thank you so much, @MiqDroid ! I couldn't agree with you more about these changes. I actually sent Bonga Cams support a long e-mail on 2/11/16 about my suggestions and feedback about the site but I have not received a response. This leads me to believe they don't care about my suggestions, which is in direct opposition to any logical business model and certainly the way they come across here in the forums.

I will provide a few highlights of my e-mail here:

- Twitter / Other Social Media - absolutely! I'd love to be able to directly give my fans on Bonga my Twitter / Tumblr and personal website. In fact, these are things Bonga cams said they really like and encourage other models to do. All of my sites direct traffic to my Bonga Cams profile. I feel as though if I'm advertising Bonga on all of my websites, it stands to reason that I can advertise myself on Bonga as well. It doesn't seem fair that I should be advertising for Bonga on all of my websites but Bonga does not let me advertise myself or provide any other way to be noticed (more on that below). As you stated Droid, it isn't to "steal" Bonga's traffic but rather to provide my fans updates about my online time on Bonga and/or new content available for sale. These are just examples. Currently, a simple google search will lead the user to my website and social media but it seems silly that this "barrier" is in place. All other popular token sites, such as MFC/CB, do not have this silly and pointless restriction.

- Video purchases - YES, YES, YES! On the model side of things, it is common talk for more experienced models on Bonga to advise newer models on Bonga to make sure they do NOT put up more than the 1 required video on Bonga because VIP members see the video for free. Although I can understand that as a "perk" of being a VIP member on Bonga, models should choose which videos can be viewed for free to VIP members and which videos absolutely must be tipped for. I myself would love to put up more of my videos to sell on Bonga but absolutely refuse to because of this flawed system. Additionally, as you stated, I cannot use Project Maenad, either. I asked support several times and they said that it will not go past their website filters. It's also important to note, as you said, many users can easily game the VIP system by paying $1 to try it out and then just create multiple accounts to keep it going.

Stemming off of this, currently, there is not any way for me to reward individual members. For example, I cannot reward my highest tipper, I cannot have raffles (users would pay tokens for raffle tickets) to give away a prize (such as a video or a free private session or my snapchat) or anything else. It would be wonderful to have this way to reward individual members, which also gives a BIG an incentive to tip! This is very common practice on MFC and I'm shocked that Bonga does not have anyway for models to do this.

- Room helper - SO MUCH YES here! It is absolutely annoying to be doing a show, only to have to stop what I'm doing to police my chat. Here again, all successful token chat sites, such as CB and MFC, have some kind of system in place for the model to assign a helper/moderator for the room to help.

- Model Advertisement - This is one thing I really feel Bonga can improve on. Currently, only the #1 model from the Bonga weekly contest is featured as the model of the week and there are no other ways to be featured on the Bonga cams website or blog or anything else. It would be nice to feature other models as well.

- Twitter Advertisement: Advertising in general on Twitter / Tumblr is huge. Currently, I only see Bonga Cams using Instagram and Facebook.... and they use random, stolen images that aren't even models that work on Bonga. There surely could be a lot of improvement here...

- Fair Weekly Contest - Stemming off of model advertisement, currently, one model is winning the contest over and over by gaming the weekly contest. I also brought this up to Bonga support and received no response. It is offensive to fellow models that are actually trying to work really hard for their placement and that Bonga would allow this type of behavior to continue.

Anyway, this is starting to get really long so I'll leave it at this. I hope these suggestions can be taken seriously. '

Twitter / Other Social Media - absolutely! I'd love to be able to directly give my fans on Bonga my Twitter / Tumblr and personal website. In fact, these are things Bonga cams said they really like and encourage other models to do. All of my sites direct traffic to my Bonga Cams profile. I feel as though if I'm advertising Bonga on all of my websites, it stands to reason that I can advertise myself on Bonga as well. It doesn't seem fair that I should be advertising for Bonga on all of my websites but Bonga does not let me advertise myself or provide any other way to be noticed (more on that below). As you stated Droid, it isn't to "steal" Bonga's traffic but rather to provide my fans updates about my online time on Bonga and/or new content available for sale. These are just examples. Currently, a simple google search will lead the user to my website and social media but it seems silly that this "barrier" is in place. All other popular token sites, such as MFC/CB, do not have this silly and pointless restriction.

As you point out these are both big features on MFC and it IS silly for a new site who already seems to be copying (at least partially) the business/pay model of MFC to not also incorporate them. They are huge aspects on why MFC is so successful.

I hate to be participating like this for a site that I have such a small opinion of, but I do feel if they made some changes to the way they present themselves and operate, many other current MFC models might *actually* be more interested in it. So I am keeping an eye on updates.

The site really has so much potential. Despite all the flaws, I do enjoy camming on Bonga and it is currently my main site. I really hope that these improvements can be made to make the website better for everybody. I certainly agree that more models would try out the site after they implement at least some of these changes and get their marketing together.

At the end of the day bonga is a strange site populated by mostly russian models, the support is very poor (they believed the person they were pm'ing with was the model on cam because 'she moved') and if several models i have spoken to are to be believed, the owners record the camgirls shows and upload them to tube sites. the only reason i have not closed my account there is they have an offline messaging system so i can send a model friend messages when she is offline
